    UX Design Internship Location: Fort Wayne, IN Level: Intern Division / Department: Information Technology Reporting to position: Sr User Experience Designer About the Role: We're seeking a motivated and curious UX Design Intern to support our user experience team in improving digital tools and onboarding experiences for our members. This internship is ideal for someone passionate about design thinking, user-centered design, and improving how users interact with complex systems. You'll work on meaningful projects including journey mapping, interface design, and information architecture audits-contributing directly to the improvement of tools used by thousands of member stores. This is a temporary position (approximately 10-12 weeks) and is paid on an hourly basis. The Intern may also be able to use this opportunity towards university/college credit. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in cross-functional collaboration. Key Accountabilities 1. MAP Pricing Compliance Monitor and review vendor-submitted MAP pricing. Ensure timely approval and synchronization of MAP updates across retailer feeds. Track aging MAP entries and proactively follow up with vendors for updates. Maintain documentation of MAP violations, resolutions, and vendor communications. 2. Vendor Compliance & Standards Audit vendor adherence to shipping standards, including packaging, labeling, and delivery timelines. Escalate non-compliance issues to vendors and initiate corrective actions. Ensure system updates reflect current vendor practices. 3. Regulatory Compliance (State & Federal) Monitor and interpret state-specific product regulations (e.g., chemical disclosures, recycling laws, safety standards). Communicate regulatory changes to vendors, retailers, and internal teams. Maintain a compliance calendar for key regulatory deadlines and updates. Ensure product listings and marketing materials meet legal requirements. 4. Product Import & Trade Compliance Review import documentation and ensure products meet U.S. customs and trade regulations. Flag and escalate issues related to tariffs, country of origin labeling, and restricted items. Liaise with Legal and Supply Chain teams to resolve import-related compliance risks. 5. Authorized Reseller & IP Protection Maintain and audit lists of authorized resellers per vendor. Identify and report unauthorized use of vendor and corporate trademarks, logos, and copyrighted content. Support enforcement actions including warehouse restrictions and retailer notifications. 6. Communication & Documentation Serve as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from vendors and retailers. Draft and distribute compliance updates, violation notices, and policy changes. Maintain organized records of all compliance activities, approvals, and escalations. 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Merchandising, Legal, Supply Chain, and Digital teams to align on compliance strategy. Support campaigns to update outdated vendor policies and MAP pricing. Participate in quarterly compliance reviews and vendor performance evaluations. 8. Continuous Improvement Identify process gaps and recommend automation or system enhancements. Stay informed on industry best practices and regulatory changes. Contribute to training materials and onboarding for new vendors and team members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, or related field. 3+ years of experience in merchandising, compliance, or vendor management.
