1927

DoALL sawing products has been manufacturing industrial band saws since 1927.

1930

1930- The Continental Process, a low cost method for making stamping dies is patented and the first step toward a direct marketing organization is taken.

1933

1933- Leighton Wilkie develops the last of the seven basic machine tools, the metal cutting contour bandsawing machine

1935

1935 - The first DoALL band saw machine is demonstrated across North America.

1938

1938- The first automotive type production line in machine tool industry is set up to build DoALL machines

1939

1939- Contour Saws is established to develop and produce DoALL band saw blade; first DoALL precision surface grinder is developed and added to line

1940

1940- DoALL cutting fluids are developed and marketed; DoALL company is incorporated as primary wholesaler and marketing organization for DoALL products

1941

1941- DoALL Gage blocks introduce measurement accuracy for millionths.

1942

1942- DoALL trade school is established to train operators for war-time production

1943

1943- employee profit-sharing program is set up to provide unusually liberal financial benefits for all employees; first Buttress, or “skip-tooth,” tooth form band saw blade developed

1944

1944- postwar expansion of supply centers is increased; research and development of new products is begun.

1947

1947- first Claw-Tooth, or “hook-tooth,” tooth form band saw blade developed

1948

1948- DoALL Demonstration-Test Center created to conduct machining research on customer applications; leasing of machine tools extended

1949

1949- first bandsawing machines with hydraulically-powered work tables are developed; first tungsten carbide-tipped band saw blade is introduced

1951

1951- Cutting tools are added to lines offered and stocked by DoALL industrial Supply Centers

1953

1953- First solid high-speed steel band saw blade (DoALL Demon) is produced and marketed; first cutoff bandsawing machine designed to use high-speed steel blade is introduced by DoALL

1954

1954- Continental Granite Corporation begins manufacture of DoALL black granite gaging products

1955

1955- Precision slicing machines are developed for cutting semi-conductor and other friable materials

1957

1957- First welded tip Tungsten Carbide band saw blade; first high silicon friction sawing band saw blade is developed and marketed; First true friction sawing band saw blade is developed and marketed

1958

1958- Machine tool line expanded with fully automatic models; introduced the Pan Arm articulating contour band saw featuring a framework-mounted traveling cutting edge moving around a stationary work piece for cutting extra-large die shapes from heavy materials

1960

1960- First hard-backed carbon alloy band saw blade (DoALL Dart) introduced; first Electro Band machine introduced featuring an electrically charged saw band for cutting delicate materials; First overseas DoALL Industrial Supply Center established in West Germany

1962

1962- Model 2618-4 Band Mill introduced with fixed sawing head and movable table with 18” stroke for cutting large blocks.

1963

1963- DoALL Science Center, Inc. dedicated for advanced research and development work on DoALL products

1964

1964- First Bi-metal band saw blades introduced; Commander Laboratories begins manufacture of DoALL Industrial Electronic Products

1965

1965- First electron beam welded bi-metal band saw blades (Imperial 100 with M2 and Imperial 101 with M42) introduced along with first tracer-controlled contour band machine and big-capacity tilt-frame cutoff band machines

1967

1967- First narrow width bi-metal band saw blade for contouring introduced

1968

1968- Large capacity model 2624-5 Band mill introduced with 24” stroke table and 2” saw band

1971

1971- Developed space-age alloy D6a for the backing of bi-metal blades

1972

1972- Biodegradable cutting fluids are added to the line

1973

1973- Tool and Cutter grinder added to line; ‘Whole Shop’ concept introduced and marketed

1974

1974- ‘Dialog N/C’ tape preparation system introduced

1977

1977- Introduced the CNC-2605, the world’s first numerically controlled contour band machine

1984

1984- Built the ARS-1216, the first microprocessor-controlled sawing system with automatic storage and retrieval; introduced the C-3232M cut-off saw with 32” capacity for sawing billets and other tough jons and the 2612-D15 Diamond Saw for cutting friable materials

1986

1986- Introduced the world’s first 4-axis CNC band machining center for short run part production and Invader blades for penetrating work hardening materials

1987

1987- First TiN coated band saw blade introduced; Mist lubricant, a new class of fluids, are introduced that are environmentally safe

1988

1988- introduced C-4048M guillotine-type cut-off saw with 40-inch x 48-inch rectangular capacity and C-2525A automatic index power saw for cutting up to 25-inch rounds

1991

1991- models C-410 and C-260NC-2 compact high production power saws introduced

1994

1994 - Introduced model C-916SA, a general-purpose automatic swivel saw.

1995

1995- dual column C-650 Series saws with 26-inch capacity and manual, automatic and swivel versions were introduced along with the Model C-3300NC saw

1997

1997- first ground tooth blades made on multi-axis grinders result in fatigue resistant gullets; 36-inch throat capacity general purpose vertical contour machines and Model 6018 track-mounted plate saws introduced

1998

1998- Model C-916DS, a double swivel general purpose cut-off saw and Model D-700 automatic indexing diamond band machine were introduced; Reformulated fluid line to be more environmentally friendly and operator safe

2001

2001- DoALL developed StructurALL blade with positive rake for making interrupted cuts without stripping teeth and C-1321DS double swivel saws

2003

2003- DoALL’s new Invader XP design provides increased penetration in high temperature alloys; DoALL introduced veggie-based food grade "green" fluids for direct mist lube applications

2005

2005 - Introduced the C-3350NC production power saw with fully enclosed cutting area; Expanded fluid line to include in-process conditioners, cleaners, and organic defoamers.

2006

2006- DoALL saw the introduction of the Model C-330NC dual column production saw

2011

2011 - The line of Continental Series production horizontal band saws, featuring capacities up to 31.4” rounds, were introduced.

2013

2013 - Introduction of our first automatic “cold saw,” the Continental SC-75A.

2019

2019 – S-500CNC fully-automated mitering fabrication saw introduced.
