Scope of the Role includes:
Paraco Dock / Yard employees allow our operations to run efficiently by providing vital support for the facility and service operations. As brand ambassadors to Paraco, our dock / yard employees provide memorable, positive and engaging experience by providing customer service with propane filling and selling while ensuring our drivers have the tools and supplies necessary to service our customers. The dock / yard employee is an integral member of the Paraco family who brings a positive work ethic to deliver a great customer experience. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, you will be a key member of the Gas Production Line Grill Cylinder Dock team.

Essential responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Facility maintenance - keeping yard clean and organized.
• Tank/Cylinder dock/yard management:
o Unloading tanks /cylinders
o Evacuating and organizing tanks/cylinders.
o Refilling tanks /cylinders
o Loading onto truck or refilling BBQ tanks for walk-in customers and providing safe-use instructions.
• Calibrating scales daily.
• Daily plant inspections.
• Filling Motor Fuel.
• Performing other dock related duties as assigned.

We’re looking for the following abilities and skills:
• 2+ years forklift experience
• Superior organizational and cleaning skills
• Listening, reading and following instructions to perform responsibilities safely and efficiently.
• Focusing on the tasks at hand ensuring attention to detail, awareness of surroundings ensuring safety.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to speak with customers, vendors and other employees.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and driving conditions.
• Routinely handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds and on occasion may be expected to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds up to chest height.
• Strong interpersonal skills and be very customer focused, enthusiastic, committed, motivated and resourceful.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Position hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Friday with occasional overtime, weekends and holidays that will be based upon business needs.

Essential Functions:

All positions in the plant require the following:

+ Perform the assigned tasks in a proficient manner. This includes attaining a minimum of 100% of the production standard for tasks for which production standards have been established.

+ Maintain high quality standards on all work performed. Inspect all materials for damage or excessive wear and properly report the findings to the appropriate responsible person for resolution.

+ Maintain a clean and hazard free work area. Immediately report all broken or malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to the appropriate person for corrective action.

+ Follow all company and work rules. Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.

+ Support an environment of continuous improvement by making suggestions and implementing where possible.

+ Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.

+ Able to operate independently with little to no supervision

+ Previous Warehouse experience required

+ Previous Forklift experience preferred

+ Shipping and Receiving Company products in an accurate and timely manner

+ Insure all Company products are received by our customers in a saleable condition

Qualifications

+ Exceptional organizational and warehouse logistics skills

+ At least one year of warehouse and forklift experience preferred (order picker experience also a plus!)

+ Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs

+ High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.

+ Exposure to productivity standards and tight deadlines.

+ Two to four years work experience in production or manufacturing, with primary focus on productivity and repetitive tasks.

Working Environment:

Exposure to adverse temperatures which may include extreme hot or cold. The following physical activities are required: lifting, reaching, bending, walking, sitting, standing, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to routinely lift and maneuver a minimum of 25 lbs. without assistance. May be asked to occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs. Tight deadlines that may require overtime are required. Overtime may be required. Notification of overtime may occur the same day that the overtime is required.
