Dock worker job description

1st shift 7am-3:30pm. May work as early as 5:30am or as late as 5pm

2nd shift 3:30pm-12am. May work as early as 1:30pm or as late as 2am

All OT is during the week and no weekend work!

Description:

Working on the loading dock loading the barrels on to the trucks.

You will be working in their loading dock section.

You will be putting the lids on the paper drums and will then be rolling them into the trucks. This will be very repetitive and fast.

Work Environment

-Most, if not all machines are automated.

-Candidates will be operating slitter machine, rewinder and automatic spot welder

-They will be rolling the drums into the trucks repeatedly throughout the day.

-Once they have shown that they are a good worker they can then move up to an operator position in the plant.

-Very clean for a manufacturing environment

-Well Lit Environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Repetitive work for 8 plus hours

Heavy OT although you will only work during the week - no weekends

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 75 pounds frequently, greater than 100 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Work various shifts and days of the week

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 6 months experience operating a forklift

Associated Couriers is a family-owned operation with over 40 years of experience in the logistics industry. The company is looking for a safe and dependable Part-Time Dock Worker in Phoenix, AZ (85043) .

Schedule:

Monday-Saturday 3:30am-7:30am with rotating Saturday's off

**Availability as late as 2:00pm if needed to run a route**

Shifts typically range from 4 to 10 hours per day based on need and volume.

We are also offering a $1,000 hire on bonus!! The bonus will be paid out at $500 after 45 days of employment and $500 will be paid out after 90 days, as long as there are no disciplinary actions taken.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Unload trucks and organize freight
• Assist contractors with loading vehicles/trucks with freight
• Able to cover delivery routes in company vehicle when needed

Requirements:

Qualified applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 21 years old
• Have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations or at fault accidents in the past 3 years
• Have an open work availability with starting times between 3:30 am and 7:00 am
• The ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Able to work out of Phoenix, AZ 85043
• Authorized to work in the United States and will not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
