Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs analysis, development, integration and implementation activities for document capture development and new enhancements (50%):
Completes analysis for capture applications utilizing unstructured and formalized techniques. Builds application components as assigned (user interfaces, reports, data export). Develops clear and thorough project specifications.Completes application program scripting/development required for project implementations and enhancements utilizing workflow version control management. Assures project quality, integrity and performance efficiency through the use of established best practices. Works with customers to execute coordinated systems testing.Seizes opportunities to research unfamiliar areas to enhance understanding of business area processes and workflow requirements for data capture. Monitors capture software throughput and communicates budgetary estimates on capture usage, including user and throughput licensing needs for all capture software modules considering current and projected capture activity. Assists in documenting procedures and processes (20%):
Identifies, recommends, and when appropriate, implements changes to unit procedures and operations in order to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of the document capture unit.Develops thorough testing plans and thoroughly tests and debugs software components before turning them over to customer areas for integration and user acceptance testing. Documents new capture project configurations; including custom scripting, maintenance and enhancements ensuring documentation is clear and concise. Ensures documentation is up to date and appropriately stored in designated file locations. Creates and maintains clear, concise, and complete operational documentation for Data Capture Service Analysts.
Responds to customer needs demonstrating a commitment to quality service. Develops and demonstrates knowledge of customer areas and systems to contribute to team productivity (15%):
Develops the business knowledge necessary to gain an understanding of the customer area to ensure active participation in needs analysis and problem solving.Provides ongoing technical support for capture applications and responds to production needs. This includes new capture projects, ad hoc convenience capture and daily capture production as well as hard copy, email/fax import and film scanning functions.Works with business units to address service concerns related to capture processes, identifies solutions, and assist Data Capture Service Analysts with daily problem solving and research.
