What you'll do
Docusign Storage and infrastructure team is looking for a self-motivated softwareengineer to join us developing storage infrastructure to organize and facilitate our business growth. Our team is the center of how customers and services store their critical data and trust its security, performance, availability, compliance and durability, which enables customer derive intelligence and analytics through AI & BI.
As a SeniorSoftwareEngineer, you will own all aspects of the software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of product features in Docusign software products. You enjoy fast-paced entrepreneurial environments where you can solve difficult problems using current technologies and tools. You collaborate well with other team members when brainstorming, designing, and implementing new solutions. You will also help the team succeed by thinking about ways to improve processes, suggesting ways to make the team more effective, and mentoring and modeling engineering best practices.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Engineering Director, SoftwareEngineering.
Responsibility
* Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs using C# and .NET technologies, hosted in azure and various compliance level data-centers
* Leverage Azure services like Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Blob Storage, and SQL/No-SQL Databases to build scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native solutions
* Build and maintain microservices-based architectures using C#, ASP.NET, and others
* Design and implement RESTful or gRPC APIs, ensure seamless integration with other systems and products
* Optimize architecture and solution for scalability and availability with cost and maintenance in mind
* Identify and address performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges proactively
* Align across teams for designs, communicate and resolve roadblocks
* Guide and mentor other engineers through design and code reviews

What you bring
Basic:
* B.S. in Computer Science or similar field of study
* 8+ years of professional experience in softwareengineering
* 1+ years of hands-on experience with building and operating cloud-native microservices and APIs at scale with high availability
* Experience with SQL databases (e.g., Azure SQL Database, SQL Server) and NoSQL solutions (e.g., Cosmos DB)
* Experience with service reliability and incident response best practices
Preferred
* Experience with Microsoft technology stack (e.g., C#, .NET, ASP.NET)

California: $157,500.00 - $254,350.00 base salary
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $151,200.00 - $222,450.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
* Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
* Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

As a founding SoftwareEngineer on the AI Agents team, you will build the core platform that makes agent development secure, reliable, and scalable. You'll own systems that define agent frameworks and tooling, orchestrate multi-agent workflows, integrate with multiple LLMs and enterprise systems, and enforce tenant isolation, data governance, and least-privilege access. You'll deliver low-latency, high-throughput execution with robust observability, guardrails, and safe execution environments, ensuring agents perform predictably in production.
Your work will empower product teams at Box and enterprise customers to build, customize, and operate agents for critical use cases-answering complex questions, automating content-centric processes, and coordinating actions across business systems. You'll help establish patterns, SDKs, and best practices on top of LangGraph so developers can ship agents quickly and safely, all on a platform engineered for reliability and scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Build core components of the Agents Platform that power agentic use cases like Deep Search and Deep Research.
Design and implement agent and tool repositories, along with observability and CI/CD pipelines, to streamline agent development and deployment.
Develop and evolve a multi-tenant control plane that enforces isolation, fair resource allocation, and per-tenant SLAs across all agent workloads.
Collaborate with ML engineers to translate requirements into scalable capabilities on top of LangGraph.
Contribute to technical discussions and provide guidance on cross-team projects within the AI Platform organization.
WHO YOU ARE
