About the Role
As the Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will oversee day-to-day production maintenance operations, facility upkeep, and equipment reliability. Responsibilities
Oversee daily production maintenance and facility operations, managing both technical and non-technical teams.
Coordinate preventive maintenance programs for all shop equipment; prioritize maintenance tasks with production management.

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Facilities Operations Manager to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and direct technical advisor (SETA) to a government client. The successful candidate will provide essential government oversight of Facilities Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities performed by multiple contractors across critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure. This role is central to ensuring mission readiness through rigorous technical assurance, quality control, and effective project management of system replacements.
The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for providing expert technical leadership and operational oversight, specifically focusing on the following key areas:
1. Contractor Oversight and Management
Oversee and evaluate the performance of facilities O&M contractors, ensuring strict adherence to contract scopes of work (SOWs), performance metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory compliance.
Act as the primary technical liaison between the government directorate, facility users, and O&M service providers, translating mission requirements into actionable facilities tasking.
Review and approve maintenance schedules, work plans, and preventative maintenance (PM) strategies proposed by O&M contractors to ensure comprehensive coverage of critical infrastructure.
2. Technical Quality Assurance (QA) and Inspections
Provide Quality Assurance (QA) and technical expertise for all major electrical and mechanical maintenance, repair, and upgrade activities performed by contractors.
Conduct independent site inspections and technical audits of contractor work, verifying adherence to engineering standards, building codes, and best practices for critical systems (e.g., HVAC, chillers, power distribution, and life safety systems).
Develop and enforce technical standards and procedures for facilities operations to mitigate risks, optimize system performance, and extend asset lifespan.
Investigate and document failures or deficiencies in facilities systems, recommending corrective actions and ensuring contractor remediation is completed thoroughly and effectively.
3. Project Management (System Replacements)
Serve as the Project Manager (PM) for facilities replacement and upgrade projects focused on modernizing electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
Define project scope, budget, and schedules for replacement projects, from initial concept through final commissioning and closeout.
Manage the full project lifecycle, including contractor selection, reviewing design submissions, monitoring construction progress, and verifying adherence to technical specifications.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or High School diploma and 4 additional years of relevant facilities operations experience.
At least 10 years of facilities and operations and maintenance experience (electrical and mechanical systems) including at least 5 years in the IC or DoD (preferably the NRO).

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Facilities Operations Manager to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and direct technical advisor (SETA) to a government client. The successful candidate will provide essential government oversight of Facilities Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities performed by multiple contractors across critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure. This role is central to ensuring mission readiness through rigorous technical assurance, quality control, and effective project management of system replacements.
The Facilities Operations Manager is responsible for providing expert technical leadership and operational oversight, specifically focusing on the following key areas:
1. Contractor Oversight and Management
* Oversee and evaluate the performance of facilities O&M contractors, ensuring strict adherence to contract scopes of work (SOWs), performance metrics, service level agreements (SLAs), and regulatory compliance.
* Act as the primary technical liaison between the government directorate, facility users, and O&M service providers, translating mission requirements into actionable facilities tasking.
* Review and approve maintenance schedules, work plans, and preventative maintenance (PM) strategies proposed by O&M contractors to ensure comprehensive coverage of critical infrastructure.
2. Technical Quality Assurance (QA) and Inspections
* Provide Quality Assurance (QA) and technical expertise for all major electrical and mechanical maintenance, repair, and upgrade activities performed by contractors.
* Conduct independent site inspections and technical audits of contractor work, verifying adherence to engineering standards, building codes, and best practices for critical systems (e.g., HVAC, chillers, power distribution, and life safety systems).
* Develop and enforce technical standards and procedures for facilities operations to mitigate risks, optimize system performance, and extend asset lifespan.
* Investigate and document failures or deficiencies in facilities systems, recommending corrective actions and ensuring contractor remediation is completed thoroughly and effectively.
3. Project Management (System Replacements)
* Serve as the Project Manager (PM) for facilities replacement and upgrade projects focused on modernizing electrical and mechanical infrastructure.
* Define project scope, budget, and schedules for replacement projects, from initial concept through final commissioning and closeout.
* Manage the full project lifecycle, including contractor selection, reviewing design submissions, monitoring construction progress, and verifying adherence to technical specifications.

* Directly manages data floor and back of house electrical loading and capacity, including client installations and database systems.
* Participates in rotational on-call schedule to respond to emergency situations at the data center.

* May require late night work approximately once every other week to meet critical maintenance windows and scheduling.
