Confirm arrival time with carrier and the arrival of documents within one business day of freight arrival. * Ensure files and records are set up relevant to the consolidation, contact origin office for incomplete information. * Provide written quotations as requested by customers, provide copy of quotation to manager, and document customer profile information. * Coordinate timely clearance and delivery of imported cargo based on company and customer service commitment standards; communicate with customers to ensure proper handling of goods, and keep customers advised of changes in import regulations, tariff and bonding requirements. * Examine documents including invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products. * Establish, monitor, and revise policies, procedures and service standards for customs clearance operations, and write procedures for the handling of each account.
