HIGH REACH / STAND-UP EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: High Reach Forklift Responsible for the placement and retrieval of store's merchandise in reserve storage locations and replenishes merchandise in pick lines using stand-up lift equipment or other equipment as directed by the supervisor.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Operates a stand-up lift to replenish merchandise in the order filling areas up to 6 levels high or to put away merchandise in storage areas.
* Removes empty pallets from pick lines and storage areas.
* Verifies inventory locations with radio frequency unit information.
* Meets and maintains safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Qualifications
* Ability to operate a stand-up lift.
* Ability to use handheld/lift-mounted radio frequency unit.
* Basic math and reading skills.
* Communication skills.
* Competency to obtain a lift operator license.

* Previous warehouse experience, preferred, not required.
* Able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for 8-12 hours per shift.

EXPERIENCE

Shift 2-Monday-Friday 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm. ($19.00 hr. base pay + $1.00/hr. shift Premium totaling $20.00/hr.)
Shift 3-Sunday-Thursday 11:00 pm-7:00 am ($19.00 hr. base pay +$1.50/hr. shift Premium totaling $20.50/hr.)

JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Proficiently and safely operate production machine centers and equipment including but not limited to front-end loader, backhoes, excavators, graders, dozers, and production machine centers
· Performs mandatory visual inspection of the equipment before use, looking for signs of obvious structural damage, oil leaks around and under machine and low tire pressure
· Relieve Crane Operators as needed
· Cross train on multiple machine centers, rolling stock, and other departments
· Check all fluid levels before operating equipment
· Responsible for cleaning equipment after each use and perform basic scheduled maintenance
· Keep daily maintenance service records
· Perform various tasks assigned by the supervisor, involving keeping area around mill clean of debris and roadways traveled by other equipment clear
· Float between departments to assist in areas of greatest need
· Operates equipment safely and efficiently
· Assist in training and mentoring new employees
· Know, Understand, and Apply the Lock-out Tag-out procedures
· Entry level laborer sawmill duties, including but not limited to, stacking boards, general cleanup, removal of wood waste and debris, and tending machines
· Maintain a clean and safe work area.
· Ensure tools, supplies, and equipment are always in their “home locations”
· Maintain lines of communication with other team members
· Learning and applying lean business practices
· Fill out a maintenance request and Idea Cards when needed
· Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· 5+ years of operating heavy equipment
· Identify tree species
· Ensure safe work practices & follow safety procedures
· Dependable and reliable with a good attendance record
· Ability to streamline processes and cut waste within area of responsibility
· Lean techniques and experience preferred
· Must be 18+ years old to work in an industrial sawmill environment
· Must have HS Diploma/GED
· Must be able to continuously stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, crawl, kneel, climb, and reach above shoulders safely. The weight required to be lifted each normal workday may occasionally exceed fifty (50) pounds at a time

Job Summary: The Heavy Equipment Operator's duties include preparing and manipulating heavy equipment to ensure the appropriate movement of materials and liaising with coworkers to ensure that the projects are completed accurately. You will be required to conduct your duties in a safe, diligent manner at all times.
What You'll Do:
Perform pre and post-operation equipment inspections, ensuring cleanliness of windows, lights, mirrors, and rear-view cameras.
Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, and front-end loaders following proper safety standards.
Monitor waste for unacceptable materials.
Continuously check equipment condition to minimize downtime and clean tracks/wheels as needed.
Document and perform minor equipment services; refer complex repairs to the Maintenance Shop.
Complete and submit the Equipment Condition
Report repairs to the supervisor.
Adhere to Safety, OSHA, and local, state, and federal regulations.
Clean, service, and store equipment after each shift.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Job Description
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy construction equipment-including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and backhoes-to support site development, earthmoving, trenching, grading, and material handling. This position ensures all work is performed to project specifications, within safety guidelines, and in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment in a safe and productive manner for site preparation, excavation, grading, and material movement.
Inspect, clean, and perform basic maintenance on equipment before and after operation.
Read and interpret site plans, grade stakes, and blueprints to execute work according to specifications.
Load and unload materials or equipment as needed.
Communicate effectively with site supervisors, spotters, and crew members to ensure coordinated operations.
Identify and report equipment malfunctions, hazards, or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
Follow all OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations and participate in regular safety meetings.
Maintain accurate daily logs of work performed and equipment hours.
Assist with general labor or site cleanup when required.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience operating heavy construction equipment.
Valid driver's license; CDL preferred (depending on project needs).
Proven knowledge of heavy machinery operation, job site safety, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to read grade stakes, blueprints, and elevation levels.
Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
Preferred:
Certification or training from a recognized heavy equipment operator program.
Experience in [specific sector-e.g., road construction, utilities, site development, mining].
Familiarity with GPS-grade control systems and laser levels.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and operate machinery for extended periods.
Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions.
Tolerance for noise, vibration, and dust typical of construction sites.
Work Schedule:
Full-time; hours may vary by project needs.
