Job Summary Dominion Energy's Electric Transmission System Operations Center (ET SOC) is seeking candidates to provide advanced engineering support focused on enhancing operational efficiency and risk assessment accuracy. Candidates will apply diverse engineering and operations principles to perform calculations, analysis, research, and design tasks. Responsibilities include supporting system upgrades and designing tools used by system operators. This position requires sound judgment in prioritizing tasks and adapting standard engineering techniques to complex problems. Candidates will provide expert technical support and direction in evaluating systems and equipment, implementing engineering technologies, and ensuring compliance with design standards. The role may be filled by individuals with an engineering degree and background, or by those with strong theoretical and design experience who do not hold a formal engineering degree. Additional responsibilities may include technical project management such as scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and oversight of complex projects to meet cost and time objectives. Candidates will also contribute to initiatives like Night VARS, Power BI projects, and the development of new tools to support system operations.
