Don Bosco Technical Institute company history timeline

1955

March 25, 1955 –Groundbreaking for the first eight building on campus

Despite its relatively small size, the marching band and the auxiliary units have scored high points in their division and have even received sweepstakes. Therefore, since the school's birth in 1955, the "Bosco Tech Royal Techmen Marching Band" became the school's first and oldest extracurricular activity.

September 12, 1955 –Opening day of school in the five original technical shops.

1957

September 1957 –Opening of the Electronics Department

After its first graduation ceremonies in 1957, the enrollment for the elementary and high school levels increased tremendously, representing a cross-section and a happy blend of the poor and the affluent.

Bosco Tech's music program was founded in 1957.

1959

June 9, 1959—First high school graduation

1966

The College Department opened in 1966 with 33 first-year students who began their two-year education leading to an Electrical or Mechanical Associate Degree.

1974

He was concerned with the Catholic education of the youth of Tarlac. It started its technical curriculum in 1974 and four years later its name was changed to Don Bosco Technical Institute.

1975

In 1975 Bosco Tech paid $200 to the then "garage-band" Van Halen to perform at a campus music show.

1986

The current mascot, the Tiger, was adopted after a student vote in 1986.

2001

Black Eyed Peas performed at Bosco Tech's end-of-year dance back in 2001

2004

The College Department made history in 2004 with the acceptance of 28 first-year female students.

2008

For the first time in the school's history, it sent a Public Forum Debate Team to the National Championships held in June 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2016

In 2016, it opened its co-educational senior high school department.

2017

During the Winter of the 2017-18 school year, the band's membership grew to 48 members.

2018

The next year, in the 2018-19 school year, the band opened its registration to its sister schools:San Gabriel Mission High School and Ramona Convent Secondary School, as those schools did not have proper music programs.

Black Eyed Peas filmed the music video for their song "Big Love" during the summer of 2018 at Bosco Tech.

2020

The Tech’s current strategic plan, Vision 2020, establishes STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) as the key organizing concept for the school and its programs.
