    Senior manager job at DoorDash

About the Team The Workforce Management team's primary focus is to ensure we have the right people at the right time to get our customers connected to a live agent as quickly and reliably as possible. The team brings a people-first mindset paired with strategy and operations to achieve their goals. They move quickly, leverage first principles thinking, and focus on problem solving to ensure a seamless execution. Our team manages the workforce capacity planning, scheduling, and real-time operations for DoorDash's large and growing global network of in-house and BPO support centers, with the ultimate goal of delivering an outstanding customer experience as reliably as possible…at scale. About the Role As the Senior Manager of RTA & Innovation, you will sit at the intersection of execution and strategy-owning day-to-day SLA delivery while shaping the future of Workforce Management. You'll bring structure and discipline to intraday and in-week performance, ensuring risks are surfaced early, accountability is clear, and outcomes are consistently met. At the same time, you'll drive the innovation agenda for WFM, ensuring we get the most out of our current tools while charting a path toward automation, AI, and next-generation capabilities. This role is built for someone who thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly from problem to solution, and knows what “great” looks like when scaling a real-time operation. You'll work closely with leaders across Planning, Vendor Ops, CX, and Product/Engineering to connect big-picture strategy to day-to-day execution. The ideal candidate combines technical depth in WFM platforms with the grit to solve problems hands-on and the vision to transform how we work. This role reports to the Director of Workforce Management. While we would strongly prefer that you be based in one of DoorDash's core offices, we are open to remote candidates with the right fit. You're excited about this opportunity because you will… Own intraday and in-week SLA performance, proactively calling out plan risks, signing up for targets, and holding both planning and execution accountable by pinpointing staffing, system, and process gaps-and driving fixes to deliver expected outcomes. Design and operationalize execution models that deliver seamless real-time decision-making and performance outcomes across internal and outsourced operations. Act as the architect of WFM innovation, owning the future strategy for tools, automation, and AI adoption across Workforce Management. Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and integrate smarter workflows that drive speed, accuracy, and efficiency at scale. Leverage your deep experience with WFM platforms to ensure we're maximizing the value of our current tools while also building a forward-looking strategy for the next generation of capabilities. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to connect strategy to execution, influencing priorities and enabling scalable improvements across CX and WFM. Drive accountability to real-time and operational KPIs, ensuring alignment to service goals while continuously raising the bar for performance. Serve as the bridge between vision and execution, communicating results, blockers, and forward-looking opportunities with clarity to leadership and partners. We're excited about you because you … Have 7+ years of experience in Workforce Management or Support Operations, with deep expertise in building and scaling RTA functions from scratch. Bring a proven track record of implementing and optimizing WFM tools and platforms (NICE, Verint, Assembled, Genesys, or similar), with strong technical acumen. Are equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to plug gaps as you are defining long-term strategy and building sustainable models. Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, with the scrappiness to execute quickly and the vision to anticipate what's next. Are passionate about innovation and automation, with a strong curiosity for how AI and emerging technologies can transform Workforce Management. Demonstrate strong analytical skills and fluency with data tools (SQL, Excel, Tableau or similar), enabling real-time, data-driven decision making. Are a strategic leader and operator who inspires followership, aligns cross-functional partners, and drives meaningful change at scale. Balance grit with vision-you know what “great” looks like, and you have the influence, persistence, and creativity to make it happen. Must be comfortable regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment in performing job duties, including evaluating options, making informed decisions, and determining appropriate courses of action within the scope of assigned responsibilities. • Manager, Strategy & Operations - Strategic Bets, Growth

    Doordash 4.4company rating

    Senior manager job at DoorDash

About the Team We're looking for an experienced Strategy & Operations Manager to help scale one of DoorDash's newest Commerce Platform bets (B2B SaaS) as we take it from its 0 to 1 phase to 1 to 100. You'll not only define the commercial and growth strategy but also ensure the team hits ambitious targets through disciplined execution. This is a unique opportunity for a builder who's equally comfortable setting direction, rallying cross-functional teams, and holding a high bar for results as we scale from early pilots to repeatable, sustainable success. About the Role This role sits at the intersection of sales, product marketing, and digital marketing-you'll partner with our sales org to scale our GTM, shape positioning and messaging to resonate with Mx, and fuel growth through marketing and product-led funnels, while owning the P&L for net-new restaurants. You're excited about this opportunity because... Set and Own Growth Targets: Define ambitious but achievable KPIs and revenue goals; align stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, and Product to deliver against them. Launch & Scale GTM Playbooks: Build and operationalize repeatable playbooks that integrate product marketing, sales, and marketing to drive growth across multiple markets. Shape Product Marketing Strategy: Develop positioning, messaging, and value propositions; partner with Product to translate customer insights into GTM strategy; build collateral and enablement for sales and field teams. Lead Sales Initiatives: Partner with Sales and RevOps to design pipeline strategies, support go-to-market execution, and build scalable acquisition and retention motions. Drive Marketing Campaigns: Collaborate with Marketing to launch demand generation programs, lifecycle campaigns, and channel strategies that fuel awareness, adoption, and engagement. Be the Voice of the Customer: Lead insights gathering across customer segments to refine product-market fit and sharpen GTM strategies. Measure & Optimize Relentlessly: Own performance dashboards, track progress against targets, and ensure learnings inform ongoing strategy and execution. Act as a Builder: Create systems and processes that raise the executional bar while enabling the business to scale efficiently. We're excited about you because… You're experienced (6-9 years)-with a background spanning Strategy & Ops, Sales Strategy, and/or Growth Marketing at a high-growth tech company or startup. You're a target-setter and achiever-you've owned ambitious growth goals before and delivered, with a proven ability to translate strategy into execution and results. You're a top-tier operator-able to break down complex problems, problem-solve creatively, and drive a fast-moving cross-functional ship even when circumstances shift. You're cross-functional to the core-skilled at aligning Sales, Marketing, Product, and Ops around shared priorities and motivating teams to deliver at a high bar. You have product marketing chops-experienced in crafting positioning, messaging, and GTM launches, and enabling sales teams with the right collateral and tools. You're commercially minded-you understand how to build a pipeline, partner with sales and RevOps, and execute GTM initiatives that drive measurable adoption. You thrive in ambiguity-skilled at piloting scrappy experiments, then scaling them into structured, repeatable programs. You're data-driven and outcomes-focused-you use analysis to back strategy, monitor progress, and deliver measurable business impact. Must be comfortable regularly exercising discretion and independent judgment in performing job duties, including evaluating options, making informed decisions, and determining appropriate courses of action within the scope of assigned responsibilities. Qualifications 6-9 years of experience in consulting, banking, Strategy & Ops, with at least 2 years working with sales teams and SaaS products. Experience with Product Marketing and/or Growth Marketing is a plus. Proven track record of owning growth metrics, revenue goals, and delivering strong performance against targets. Experience driving sales and/or marketing initiatives that resulted in measurable adoption and growth. Strong project and stakeholder management skills; able to lead high-stakes cross-functional initiatives. Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-paced environments. Experience with product positioning, messaging, and GTM frameworks. Advanced analytical toolkit (Excel and SQL required). We expect this position to be filled by 12/21/2025. You have a track record of scaling new initiatives within large, complex organizations. You don't mind getting your hands dirty, moving quick, and imperfection. You are an analytical rigorist & truth-seeker: You don't just look at high-level numbers; you dive deep into the funnel to identify root causes. You have a challenger mindset that uses data to guide the team toward the "win-win-win." You are tech-forward: You are passionate about the future of sales productivity and are eager to experiment with AI-driven tools to give our team a competitive edge.
