1978

1978: The Berman brothers start an automotive parts distribution business in their garage.

1989

Revenues in 1989 reached $32 million.

1991

On March 12, 1991, R&B's IPO was completed, raising $11.44 million.

1995

1995: The Dorman Products division is acquired.

1998

In 1998, the Bermans' bid to make R&B larger and more diverse was on display.

Revenues in 1998 increased $25 million, reaching $178 million during the company's 20th anniversary year.

1999

The acquisition, which included the Champ Service Line, Pik-A-Nut, and Everco, was completed in stages, ending with the purchase of Everco in January 1999.
