Job Summary: The Sales Manager is responsible to develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, and solicitation for various or specific market segments. Essential Job Functions Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times. Meet or exceed budgeted RevPAR goals. Accurately forecast revenues for the following month. Analyze short-term fluctuations and direct selling activities to maximize revenues. Prepare sales and/or marketing plan for the following year. Ensure front desk agents are familiar about all sales programs and key accounts. Produce sales department reports in a timely manner. Know which market segments produce effective business for the property and how to balance them to maximize revenues. Perform displacement analysis for groups or accounts as needed. Know SWOT of property and competitive set. Read and interpret STR results weekly and monthly. Identify revenue opportunities and work to secure business from them. Use company-wide tools, systems and applications without exception. Demonstrate commitment to superior guest service through personal response to guest needs. Conduct site visits, coordinating with all departments for show rooms. Experience and Education: Two years prior hotel sales, catering manager, or progressive experience in a hotel environment Experience with Delphi FDC and proficient in Microsoft 365 Experience with brand's PMS and sales related applications Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major preferred Travel: Up to 75% travel requirement.
