1985

In 1985, the company went through a series of organizational changes.

1995

In 1995, the company announced a preliminary agreement with Weyerhaeuser Co., one of the nation's largest lumber companies, to buy 600,000 acres of Oregon timberland for $303 million.

1996

1996: Roseburg and partner buy International Paper timberlands.

1997

1997: Kenneth Ford dies.

1999

The new division had its own sales staff, and in 1999 it broke ground on a $75 million manufacturing plant for engineered wood products, the largest of its kind in North America.

2002

They revamped the mill and switched over to stud production, which is what the mill thrives on today.Bruce succumbed to cancer in 2002, and Westbrook turned to two new partners – Rick Mathews and John Blodgett – for help and growth.

2003

In 2003, the company announced it would cut its plywood production by 20 percent, which meant eliminating the jobs of 450 workers.
