JOB DESCRIPTION
This is professional services work in planning, developing, coordinating, instructing, and evaluating vocational and educational programs available to residents housed in correctional facilities and upon release from incarceration. Responsibilities include working with community-based entities developing, implementing, and coordinating educational programs; establishing performance measures and evaluating program effectiveness; and directing and overseeing academic staff development, school support programs, school/community relations, and compliance with grant and project fund requirements. REPRESENTATIVE TASKS
Plans, designs, and implements correctional education programs and community based educational services in order to meet identified educational needs of residents during incarceration and upon release.
Coordinates and oversees community educational program providers in order to ensure support services are provided in compliance with contract specifications and program standards.
Selects, oversees, and evaluates contracted teachers, volunteers, and community counselors/advisors in order to ensure compliance with correctional policies/procedures and that teaching and community service standards are met.

Patient volume expectation is average 3.5 patients per session worked. A session is defined as 3.5 patient care hours plus 0.5 hrs of administration duties. Number of sessions worked is based on FTE status (e.g. 1.0 FTE = 10 sessions).
The number of sessions per week may be modified based upon clinic need, supervision commitments, etc. Modifications are approved by Director of Behavioral Health.
Provide consultation and academic support to residents and attending physicians in the areas of behavioral medicine.
Participate fully in relevant quality assurance and performance improvement measures.
Provide mental health consultation regarding assessment and mental/behavioral health treatment options to established patients.
Assess patients and/or families bio-psycho-social situations that result in diagnostic conclusions that include development issues, family dynamics and stressors, and a DSM IV multi-axial diagnosis.
Document data, assessment, treatment plan and expected outcome in medical record.
Identify and follow-up on all referrals you have made to assure continuity of care and patient/family needs are met.
Participate in individual and group supervision with goal of achieving Licensure in Clinical Social Work within 2 years of commencement of employment. Supervision will be provided by a PCC Licensed Clinical Social Worker as designated by the Director of BH.
Perform any crisis intervention, individual counseling, family counseling, advocacy that is needed for the patient.

Qualifications
Experience/Training:
Masters Degree in Social Work or Professional Counseling from accredited University.

Job Summary
The Director of Dietary/Food Services manages the food service operations of the facility in conjunction with a Licensed Dietitian. The Dietary/Food Service Director oversees our dietary staff to ensure that meals are attractive, tasteful and nutritious for the residents, families and staff. Oversight and management of the division budget. Overseen and supported by the Sr. Director of Dietary Services for all First Atlantic Healthcare facilities.

Operations
Work in conjunction with all departments in planning events that will require food service from the dietary department.
Training staff according to all Federal and State of Maine standards.
Properly train staff on all therapeutic diets and updated when a new diet is ordered.
Work with all vendors, families, residents and staff in a professional manner and expect that of any of their staff that interact with vendors, families, residents and staff.
Conduct and administer fiscal operations, including accounting, planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, establishing rates for services, and coordinating financial reporting.
Collect, analyze, and manage data.
Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
Use of diagnostic services, inpatient beds, facilities, and staff to ensure effective use of resources and assess the need for additional staff, equipment, and services.
Develop and maintain computerized record management systems to store and process data such as personnel activities and information, and to produce reports.
Inspect facilities and recommend building or equipment modifications.
Work with leadership team to establish appropriate level of staff per shift based upon budget.
