Job Summary As one of our servers, you will be responsible for ensuring all customers are greeted when arriving at the restaurant or deli and have an excellent culinary experience with us. This position will require providing exceptional customer service along with an upbeat, professional attitude. You will need to work with the cooks to ensure production and presentation is of the highest quality, meeting company standards. This position will also support our catering service as needed. The Responsibilities Greet guest as they sit down or enter the deli, take their drink and food orders, and deliver those orders in a manner as requested by the customer. Assist the general restaurant and deli staff by performing opening and closing duties as dictated by the timing of your shift and checklists. Remain knowledgeable of the deli and restaurant's menu and specials so that you can explain them effectively to customers. Communicate with our kitchen staff to ensure that orders are being sent out as requested. Ensure that all orders are input into the point of sale (POS) system accurately and closes out accurately. Manage multiple tables at once during busier hours of operation. Maintains safe food handling practices while preparing and serving food. Assist cooks as needed. Stores, dates, and labels usable food items for future use. Ensures Deli and other areas of campus per work check lists and assignment, are maintained and stocked appropriately. Delivers food orders as requested. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Prior food service experience, preferred. Experience using a point of sale (POS) system, preferred. Job Overview Dow Rummel Village is seeking a dependable, compassionate CNA & Medication Aide to join our overnight team. In this role, you'll deliver direct resident care, administer medications, and ensure safety, dignity, and comfort throughout the night in our Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing neighborhoods. WHAT YOU'LL DO • Support residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, eating, and ambulation • Administer medications safely and accurately; document dosage and time • Observe and report any changes in resident health or behavior to nursing staff • Assist in obtaining and recording vital signs, collecting samples, and monitoring responses • Provide psychosocial support and personalized care per each resident's care plan • Maintain a calm, restful, and secure nighttime environment • Collaborate with nurses and fellow caregivers to deliver excellent service • Communicate effectively during shift transitions • Support a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and empathy What You'll Bring • Required: South Dakota CNA license and Medication Aide license • Experience in senior living or long-term care (preferred) • High school diploma or equivalent • Ability to lift 50 lbs, push/pull 60 lbs, and carry 15 lbs with two hands • Strong communication and attention to detail • Must be COVID-19, Bivalent Booster, and Influenza vaccinated • Clear background check and current TB clearance required • Calm, caring presence with a resident-first mindset Your Life At Dow Rummel Affordable Medical Plans - Choose from multiple options, including a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) with full preventive coverage and low premiums.
