The Regional Operations Leader (ROL) provides strategic and operational leadership for multiple landscape maintenance branches within an assigned geographic region. This role ensures consistent service excellence, operational efficiency, financial performance, and employee development across all branch operations. The ROL acts as a vital link between corporate leadership and branch teams, ensuring alignment with company goals, standards, culture, and a strong safety-first mindset. A core focus of the role includes effective Quality KPI management, safety performance oversight, and driving client retention throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
Oversee daily operations for multiple landscape maintenance branches, ensuring adherence to company standards for safety, quality, productivity, and service consistency.
Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring all branches prioritize safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
Monitor and optimize labor utilization, routing efficiencies, equipment allocation, and production workflows.
Conduct regular branch visits to evaluate operations, inspect job sites, verify quality and safety performance, and provide leadership coaching.

Safety Performance Management

Quality KPI Management
Establish, track, and enforce regional Quality KPIs, including service delivery benchmarks, inspection scores, rework frequency, and response times.
Lead quality audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented where performance falls short.
Standardize quality processes and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure accuracy and accountability in reporting quality performance across branches.
Financial Management
Oversee regional P&L and ensure branches meet or exceed budget, profitability, and cost-control goals.
Analyze key financial indicators including revenue growth, margins, labor efficiency, quality-related costs, and renewal performance.
Support pricing strategy, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
Review and approve capital expenditures and major operational investments.
Client Relations & Retention
Support branches in managing client relationships, addressing escalations, and ensuring contractual expectations are met or exceeded.
Drive regional client retention strategies, evaluating renewal risks and supporting key client meetings, QBRs, and presentations.
Utilize client feedback and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities and strengthen long-term relationships.
Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services across all accounts to reinforce customer loyalty.
Team Development & Leadership
Recruit, mentor, and develop Branch Managers and key operational leaders.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, quality ownership, and safety-first behavior.
Set measurable goals-including quality, safety, financial, and retention targets-and conduct regular performance reviews.
Lead regional training initiatives in partnership with corporate safety and operations teams.
Strategic Growth
Identify growth opportunities within the region, including market expansion and service line enhancements.
Support business development teams in securing new contracts and expanding market presence.
Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term regional planning, integrations, and operational optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Horticulture, Landscape Management, or related field (preferred, not required).
7+ years of progressive leadership experience in landscape maintenance or a related service industry.
Demonstrated success managing multi-branch or large-scale operations across diverse markets.
Strong financial acumen with proven P&L management experience.
Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry management software (e.g., Aspire, LMN, or similar).
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned, dunnage, and returnable pallets
Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required
Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
Transports materials on shipping dock with a hand truck or other vehicle as needed
Loads trucks / unloads trucks using a forklift

* Supervising approximately three union technicians that support the Special Test Facility operations including scheduling daily work assignments and performing annual evaluations.
* Maintain Environmental Test Confluence Page to include but not limited to: Inventory of existing test cells, locations, configurations and capabilities; user manuals; drawings; Table top drawings; Maintenance schedules (calibration, LN2 re-fill, compressed air, etc.)
* Responsible for coordination across programs to maximize efficiency of the Special Test Facility for Draper while meeting customer milestones. This will be accomplished by leveraging a centralized reservation system and assigning programs to the correct test cells while planning for maintenance of the test cells.
* Responsible for the overall Special Test Facility Surveillance to include but not limited to test cell usage data collection and failure rate analysis
* Responsible for Sparing Plan / Obsolescence Tracking that includes Identification of Critical Parts (e.g., high failure rates); Sparing Quantities (minimum # parts on-hand) - CAPEX; Storage & Inventory Tracking
* Responsible for planning for Preventative Maintenance that is preformed by Draper and External Vendors.
* Support the acquisition/upgrades/repair for all the test cells that are included in the Special Test Facility. These tasks include requirements development, facility planning, quotes, work with administration team for procurement (reqs, POs, etc.), installation & acceptance /re-certification
* Lead and manage troubleshooting efforts and issues with the test cells and generate plan of action
* Maintain 5 year facilities plan, including research and approved purchase/installation of all capital equipment.

Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure the final product meets food safety and quality standards.
Assist in performing in-process quality checks, such as weight checks and visual inspections.
Identify and report any quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
Machine Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on grinding and packing machines.
Report any mechanical issues or equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
Assist with troubleshooting minor machine problems to minimize downtime.
Safety and Cleanliness: Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Properly store materials and dispose of waste in accordance with company policies.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, including quantities, times, and any deviations from established procedures.
Maintain records of machine settings, production schedules, and quality control checks.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other production team members to achieve daily production goals.
Communicate with supervisors regarding any issues or improvements in the grinding and packing process.
Troubleshoot Ingredient Issues: Identify issues with ingredient quality, such as inconsistent textures, moisture levels, or expired ingredients, and report them to management or quality control teams for resolution.

As an Assistant Superintendent, you will participate in golf course maintenance and oversee the equipment operators and technicians that support our clients with their landscape needs. You will be responsible for driving safety, quality, production, and efficiency among your team.
Here's an overview of what you can expect to do while working here:
Assisting in planning and supervising the maintenance of greens, tees, and fairways
Overseeing production staff and ensuring the proper use of equipment
Managing all production staff work schedules
Instructing equipment operators on proper equipment handling
Supervising pesticide applications and/or operating and calibrating pesticide application equipment
Overseeing the irrigation team to ensure irrigation and drainage systems are operating effectively
Driving safety culture across your production team through continuous training and leading by example
Building strong relationships with your internal and external clients
Ensuring that the golf course that you oversee meets Down to Earth quality standards
Ensuring that timekeeping records are submitted in an accurate and timely manner.
Counseling and developing members within your production team
Providing hands-on training for your new and tenured team members to ensure they are set up for success
Interviewing, selecting and helping to onboard new team members and ensure each new team member has an excellent onboarding experience
Performing other duties as assigned by the leadership team
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of golf course maintenance experience in a leadership role to include golf turf, fertilization and pest control, and irrigation oversight.
Associates Degree in turf management or a related field
Excellent communication skills
