    As an Associate Superintendent you will work closely with experienced Superintendents and Managers to learn all aspects of operating a Scoular facility to include prioritizing the safety of employees, effectively leading a team, performing an operational role, and enhancing Scoular's ability to operate and grow our business. You will: This role is located in Downs, KS but will support our Minneapolis, KS and Lincoln, KS facilities. Operational Excellence: * Assist Superintendent/facility management with the oversight of daily operations of the facility, including receiving, storing, and shipping grain/ingredients. * At the direction of management, coordinate transportation and maintenance needs for the facility to ensure on-time deliveries. * Learn to manage inventory levels, grading standards, segregation factors, bin practices, mix-blend protocols and understand product quality while ensuring accurate record-keeping. * Understand loadout and handling equipment (legs, belts, augers and conveyors). * Demonstrate knowledge of preventative maintenance management to ensure equipment is functional, safe and in good repair. * Understand dust control and mitigation. * Provide a high level of customer service and communicate effectively with both customers and vendors. * Develop an understanding of Scoular's technology and systems. * Develop an understanding of trade basics to include basic bid sheets, contracts, transportation and commodity movement while building Scoular customers and markets. * Travel to other facilities as needed to enhance business knowledge and network exposure.
