• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills. Communication must always be professional and demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of diverse customers. Must be proficient in using various communication tools and technology to keep customers, peers, and managers apprised of their efforts

• Must have the ability to work in an unsupervised environment and have the consistent ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively while dealing with a variety of requests throughout the day
• Superior research and follow-up skills are important, especially when dealing with customers
• Must be proficient in computer systems and Microsoft Office environment; more specifically navigating Word and Excel documents, managing a calendar, and composing various emails
• Able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends at special events
• Experience operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment a plus

• Lifting of objects up to 60 pounds
• Ability to maneuver up to 250 pounds with the use of a hand truck.

Education and Experience:

• Some college or vocational experience preferred
• Prior experience with heating & cooling systems, plumbing or beverage systems (beer, soda, etc.) a plus
  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Valid CDL Class A, B or E Driver’s License is preferred at time of start, or be willing to obtain one upon employment

Drafting Technician/Light Designer Requirements

We are seeking a Drafting Technician/Light Designer to work at our client's facility in Sioux Falls, SD. The selected candidate will support our clients with the documentation of off-highway equipment using AutoCAD Inventor software. The employee will support a design team and interact with other multi-functional teams including manufacturing.

• AAS degree in mechanical or architectural drafting
• Qualified candidates should have 2 years or more detailing experience.
• Ability to provide a high attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Should possess a strong customer focus with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients both verbally and written.
• Previous experience with solid modeling software is required; experience with Inventor software a plus.
• Proven Design Experience
• Mechanical Aptitude

Engineering Drafting Technician

The Drafting Technician will be in charge of independently creating engineering design plans for public works project and land development, utilizing AutoCAD software. They will be responsible for working with an engineering design team from initial concepts to final plan production. They will also draft various sketches, plans, and exhibits using CAD.

Responsibilities

• Carries out tasks assigned by the Project Lead and engineering team.
• Develops civil plan sets (grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D grading feature lines, terrain model, earthworks, corridors, labels, etc.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D utility pipe networks, modification of utility structures, etc.
• Determines scales, layout, and need for specific detail.
• Prepares drawings per company CAD standards and project-dependent CAD specifications.
• Manages personal time allotted to various tasks in order to meet obligations of one or more projects, including budget, quality and schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, civil engineering, and/or land development projects
• General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Adobe, Internet, etc.
• Knowledge of CAD Manuals/Standards
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D; ability to troubleshoot issues
• Proficient in Bluebeam
