Hi, I hope it's not too late to ask a question here: I have a teenager in high school who wishes to become an animator. What are some steps she can take *now* to help her toward that goal? Thanks.

Never give up is step 1. Step 2 is keep drawing stuff. Never stop making animations. Get a college degree is step 3. Step 4: apply for a studio to animate for. Or you could post them online like Happy Tree Friends or the Jason Steele videos.

What are the work hours like and does it get really stressful close to the deadlines for finishing a movie? What kind of things would a specific individual be responsible for? What would a typical day of work look like for you? Do you or any of your coworkers secretly or openly like Pixar better?

It does get stressful. I hate deadlines. They only make things worse. I go in, say hi. Check in, find out what I'm working on that day. I love Pixar, but nothing beats DreamWorks.
