Full Time Job In Tucson, AZ
Company. Snag is an instant needs service focusing exclusively on providing high-margin goods to college students. We directly employ drivers who deliver on e-bikes or scooters and carry all inventory in our company-owned dark stores.
Mission. We emerged as a direct response to the exorbitant fees and long wait times that plague existing delivery services. We're providing the fastest delivery service available with deliveries being fulfilled within 10 min, all while ensuring affordability.
Traction. Last year, we were on 6 college campuses and served 40k customers. Our stores generated more revenue per square foot than Trader Joe's.
Growth. We just launched on 5 more campuses and have plans to expand to 12 more within the next 12 months. In July, we raised $4.5m in an oversubscribed seed round led by top-tier investors that gives us 3 years of runway.
Team. Our entire team is 22 employees and an additional 500 part-time campus-specific employees.
Position Overview:
As a University Growth Manager, you will be the face of Snag on your campus, driving customer acquisition and building brand awareness. Your mission will be to grow our user base by creating and executing innovative marketing campaigns and initiatives tailored to your campus. You'll have the autonomy to develop and implement ideas that you are confident will drive user awareness and new customers while meeting aggressive weekly growth targets.
This is a full-time position with the expectation that you'll put in extra hours as needed to ensure success. You'll join a dynamic marketing team with a unique culture:
Unconventional Hours: We don't work a typical 9-to-5. Everyone on the team is driven by results and is willing to hustle beyond regular hours to meet ambitious goals.
Accountability: We own our results-good or bad-and are constantly pushing for better campaigns and strategies.
Relentless Improvement: The team is motivated by perfecting a playbook for even faster growth as Snag expands to more campuses over the next two years.
Do-What-It-Takes Mentality: We believe in hustle, adaptability, and doing whatever is necessary to achieve success.
This role is for someone who thrives in a high-performance culture, is energized by challenges, and is eager to contribute to a rapidly growing startup.
What You'll Do
Customer Acquisition: Develop and execute marketing initiatives that drive weekly growth in the customer base.
Creative Campaign Design: Brainstorm, plan, and implement your own unique marketing strategies that resonate with your campus community.
Campus Engagement: Build strong relationships with student organizations, Greek life, campus influencers, and local businesses to amplify Snag's reach.
Event Management: Plan and execute engaging campus events using a monthly marketing budget to promote Snag and acquire new users.
Performance Tracking: Monitor growth metrics and report weekly progress toward customer acquisition goals.
Brand Advocacy: Act as a passionate ambassador for Snag, ensuring the brand is visible and valued across campus. Distributing promotional materials, door hangers, and Snag merchandise to maximize brand visibility.
Overtime Commitment: Be prepared to put in the extra hours and effort to ensure goals are met and growth initiatives are executed effectively.
What We're Looking For
Connected: We are looking for someone who is a recent graduate, or a senior with a low workload looking to make a jump start in their career. You have strong ties to your university community and are well-connected with student organizations, Greek life, and campus influencers. This person must have connections and be willing to work full-time (40+ hours a week) to drive growth.
Driven and Self-Motivated: You're a natural hustler who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to do whatever it takes to hit your goals.
Creative Thinker: You have a knack for coming up with fresh, effective ideas to drive awareness and growth.
Event Planning Experience: You've successfully organized events or campaigns that drove engagement and turnout.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: You see challenges as opportunities and are eager to take ownership of growth on your campus.
Results-Oriented: You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals in previous roles or activities.
