Actively participates in Cross-Functional Team meetings and provide input on drilling plans using offset wells to achieve well objectives.

Identifies and evaluates appropriate offset wells. Participate on internal well design reviews and risk assessments for assigned wells.

With support of drilling engineering team, verify subsurface predictions, including pore pressure, fracture gradient, lithology, and hazards. Ensures geological prognosis includes all the information to properly develops the well design.

Writes drilling procedures for assigned wells. Evaluate technology options and select materials and services to accomplish well design and objectives.

Provides technical support to the field on daily drilling operations using offset data and engineering calculations.

Provides full time drilling engineering support to assigned drilling rig(s). Monitors daily morning report, and facilitates data error corrections and coding. Has primary responsibility for well file population and management for assigned wells.

Remains at the forefront of new and developing technologies, and recommends advancements to improve safety, performance, and reduce costs. Works with service companies to improve existing or develop new technologies to improve safety and operational performance.
Provides internal and external bench marking for wells drilled. Assures assigned wells are properly permitted by supporting the Regulatory Specialist, who serves as a primary liaison with Governmental regulatory offices. Evaluates drilling activities against pre-established targets, and makes recommendations for improvement based on analysis. Has an good understanding of, and active participation in safety and environmental programs. Is accountable for knowledge of and compliance with all applicable regulations and Ranger Oil HSE training requirements and policies. Responsible, in conjunction with the relevant Supply Chain Specialist, for preparing tenders, analyzing vendor response, awarding contracts and managing contractor performance. Reviews and approves relevant invoices for accuracy. Provides relief for the other Drilling Engineers on the team during their absence. Performs rig-site supervision training as required.
Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering Preferred 4 to 8 year of oil field drilling experience Previous experience with an operator preferred Basic knowledge of well bore design and well control Basic understanding of subsurface issues Experience with Contractor selection and performance management preferred Basic project management skills Good PC skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite. Any training related drilling engineering software is preferred Team player and able to work in multi functional teams Proactive, takes initiative, and is able to work independently as well as in cooperation with others Analytical and hands-on Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Creative, independent, and flexible in a demanding, multicultural business environment Good communication and presentation skills

The CRC Drilling Department is seeking to fill a Senior Drilling Engineer position based out of either our Long Beach or Bakersfield, CA offices. This position is eligible for both a 9/80 and hybrid work from home schedule.
Responsibilities

* Accountable for knowledge of and compliance with all applicable regulations and company HES training requirements and policies
* Work closely with exploration teams and Reservoir Management Teams (RMTs) to ensure an understanding of well objectives and optimize well designs
* Provide quality well designs that meet project well objectives utilizing established engineering tools and standards
* Generate detailed, accurate and documented drilling time and cost estimates
* Develop well researched and documented drilling procedures
* Provide technical support on daily drilling operations and serve as the primary contact for field engineering issues
* Provide full time engineering support to assigned drilling rig(s), including support on the drill site if needed
* Perform engineering well surveillance during execution and write post-well engineering reports using established standards
* Assure assigned wells are properly permitted and serve as a primary liaison with governmental regulatory offices
* Manage contracts and contractors to continuous improvement via Contractor Management Standards
* Work with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to prepare tenders, analyze vendor responses, award contracts and administer assigned contracts
* Accountable for knowledge of and compliance with all applicable regulations and company HES training requirements and policies
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering
* 8 years of experience in an Engineering capacity with the industry
* Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
* Excellent time management skills with ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently
* Contractor performance management skills
* Must be self-motivated, versatile and willing to learn
* Fundamental knowledge in the use of MS Office products
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Must be a team player with Strong interpersonal skills with experience working in a multi-discipline team environment
* Able to work on-call weekend rotations
* Must have a valid driver's license & a clean DMV record

The AMO Support Engineer is a role that is part of the Global Product Line AMO HQ organization. The AMO Support Engineer is responsible for up to three key functions within the Global AMO HQ organization. These functions are Project Management Office (PMO), Engineering and Business Support. An AMO Support Engineer within a particular Product Line can be responsible for one and up to three of these functions.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor's degree in the field of Engineering, or international equivalent.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Leads, initiates and facilitates process improvement projects with focus on cost reduction and AMO delivery.
* Liaises across cross-functional teams in order to drive cost reduction and AMO delivery improvements
* Lead digital projects to improve the efficiency within AMO facilities
* Provide SAP, MaPs, eProcedure and AMO Work Center support, training and enhancement implementations
* Lead projects to improve the visibility of AMO KPI's such as dashboards
* Provide new facility startup support
* Lead and engage with Cost Reduction projects

Cost Reduction Projects

* Collaborate with various AMO personnel (Hubs, Spokes, and Operations) to bring about cost reduction and technical solutions.
* Identify needs of AMO to reduce turnaround cost of maintenance across all Tech IDs.

Value Engineering

* Conceive, design, prototype, test, document, and support production of tools and fixtures that assist AMO Techs
* Collaborate with Engineering, Technology and Project line to assign / prioritize resources on product improvements that improve AMO activities, productivity, safety, quality and reduce actual AMO cost

New Product Introduction

* Initiate, drive and complete AMO strategy for New Product Introduction in collaboration with regional and global support groups, PDG and PLM. Developed the most effective option for the NPI support in consideration of Quality and HS&E aspects, and what role AMO will play in that strategy

Multiskilling

* Initiate, drive and complete AMO strategy for Multiskilling in collaboration with peers from other OFS product lines

AMO Processes & Procedures

* Resolve AMO related quality issues in collaboration with QA and Service Delivery Technical department.
* Lead AMO non-standard repair documentation projects to identify mechanical and or electromechanical overhaul practices from AMO locations and to evaluate and publish these procedures into standard engineering database.
* Execute projects with external engineering companies for documentation updates and publish repair drawings. Provide SME support and mentor engineers from internal & external engineering firms to execute AMO engineering projects.
