Job Purpose

Pay Range
Salary at SARA is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed model-based test plans, models, and strategies for complex Naval systems and subsystems
Design, build, and maintain test models using industry-standard modelling languages, such as Unified Modelling Language (UML), System Modelling Language (SysML), or MATLAB/Simulink, to support Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL) testing and validation
Execute model-based tests, including functional, performance, and environmental testing, using automated testing tools and frameworks

The V&V TestEngineer will ensure that test and V&V efforts are aligned with safety goals, applicable standards and regulations, and safety-critical design requirements, while producing artifacts and documentation for such activities, and adhering to the Glydways quality-management process.
The V&V TestEngineer must ensure that test and V&V efforts are aligned with product-deliver goals, and support the review, approval, and verification processes for system and product requirements.
Creation of V&V test cases, from subsystem through product, that are aligned with the Glydways V&V program deliverables, and safety and design requirements
Review, approval, and verification activities for low-to-high-level safety and design requirements, and other associated V&V elements
Applicable V&V artifact generation, including, but not limited to, test plans, test specifications, and test reports
Implementation and execution or executional oversight of multiple tiers of testing, including software in the loop (SiL), hardware in the loop (HiL), integrated systems, vehicle level, and simulation
Contributions to the overall Glydways V&V program strategy, processes, and facilitation of the V&V programs relationship to overall company goals and objectives
The V&V TestEngineer may also be responsible for working with Glydways partner teams in the following areas:
Third-Party Test Facilities: The V&V TestEngineer will serve a role in scoping, creating, organizing, and executing vehicle-level electrical, mechanical, environmental, and dynamic test activities, in which Glydways leverages a remote test facility.
Independent Safety Assessors and Engineering Consultants: The V&V TestEngineer must be able to effectively interact and communicate with third-party engineering, project, and safety entities.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or computer science field, or equivalent experience
5 years of experience working in real-world, safety-critical test environments
