Source and recruit qualified CDL Class A drivers through multiple channels, including social media, job boards, referrals, and networking.
Conduct phone and preliminary interviews to assess candidate qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
Verify candidate qualifications, including Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) and PSP reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and DOT requirements.
Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, including coordination of documentation, orientation, and pre-employment requirements.
Research industry trends and labor market conditions to continuously improve recruiting strategies and candidate quality.
Support employer branding and recruitment marketing efforts to attract and retain qualified drivers.
Participate in employee retention initiatives, including follow-ups with new hires, engagement check-ins, and feedback collection to reduce early turnover.
Support general HR functions, such as maintaining employee records, assisting with compliance documentation, and supporting HR projects as needed.
Collaborate with operations and management to address workforce needs, retention challenges, and continuous improvement efforts.
Requirements
Previous experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR support, or staffing in the trucking or transportation industry.
Strong interviewing and sourcing skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Bilingual preferred.
Compensation and benefits
This position may be classified as either a 1099 independent contractor or W-2 employee.
This role is not eligible for company benefits.
Annual salary range: $50,000 - $85,000
