General Description This position is responsible for transporting students in buses on scheduled trips. This includes transporting students from home to school and return home, to and from providers, and any field trips that are scheduled. The driver is to utilize extreme caution in the loading and unloading of passengers, driving safely and maintaining good behavior by the students on the bus. As the driver he/she is responsible for the care and maintenance of the vehicle. This position is responsible for the conduct of the Bus Aide assigned to the bus and should demonstrate courtesy, respect and a positive attitude when relating to children, parents and service providers in the course of his/her duties. This position will also perform ground maintenance and landscaping functions at the campus to maintain its appearance. Examples of Work Performed Drives the students in a safe and prudent manner whenever the schedule directs. Maintains good behavior and order on the school bus, sees that passengers buckle up while driving.
