This position is a manual handling, labor intensive job that includes loading and unloading fuel from vehicle onto customer's premises. Operates company vehicle in a professional manner. We do not offer housing for Route Drivers, so applicants must be in the Shreveport, LA area. Responsibilities and Duties: Applies knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle (e.g. performing basic functions like driving forwards, driving backwards, or maneuvering in tight spaces, etc.) Inspects truck for condition. Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations. Safely load fuel from a fuel rack and then unload into frac tanks, yard tanks and other client equipment. Interacts with customers on daily basis while making deliveries to places of business. Service all scheduled customers by the end of the daily shift. Comply with operating procedures. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications and Skills Must be 23 years of age or older. Class A CDL operator's license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required. Ability to read & comprehend computer printouts and write legibly. Complete DOT acceptable application for employment. Successfully complete DOT required road test; DOT drug screen & physical. General knowledge of highways and locations in LA, TX & surrounding states where deliveries may be scheduled. Ability to take direction & comprehend instructions; work well with others. Know & obey all traffic regulations; be safe & conscientious driver; ability to drive standard bobtail and /or tractor-tanker. Regular, reliable and predictable attendance. Newly Licensed Class A Truck Drivers. No driving experience? No problem. Do you currently have your Class A CDL, but just don't have any driving experience? We are offering a great entry level position with great pay, great benefits and home time options. To qualify, you must meet the following requirements: Must currently have a valid Class A CDL license, have a stable job history and a good MVR with minimal tickets and accidents. Must also be able to pass all DOT related tests & pre-employment screenings. App process overview: Once we receive your inquiry, we will contact you to schedule a phone interview to pre-qualify you. Once we determine that you qualify, we will then review all of the job details with you and move you forward to the application process. Following this, we will help you fill out part 1 of your online application. We will email you a link to complete part 2 on your own. Your app will be reviewed by an app processor and then you will be contacted regarding your approval. Once you are approved, you will be scheduled for a 1-2 day compensated driver orientation. We will schedule you at the closest location that we have to your current city. If you live 60 miles or more away, we will reserve a private hotel room for you. Breakfast is provided at the hotel and lunch will be catered in. Upon successful completion of orientation, you will officially be hired and go out with a mentor driver for 4 weeks. This will give you all of your required behind the wheel hours. You will be paid $800 a week SALARY during this time. Following the completion of your training, you will come home for 3-5 days and then meet with a fleet manager to choose a run. You will then become a solo driver and move into a FT position. Your pay will increase to anywhere from $1,100 - $1,300+ per week (depending on the run you choose) We also have a $1,000 per week minimum pay guarantee. Home times will vary depending on the run. OTR and regional are available to all trainees. You will also be eligible for our full benefits package at 30 days: Medical, dental, vision, 401k retirement, $10k in company paid life insurance, disability insurance and paid vacation. Our trucks are 2021-2022 Freightliners (mostly autos) CDL school tuition reimbursement available up to $5,000.
