Job Description
Are you a highly reliable and organized individual ready for a critical hybrid role? We are seeking a dedicated professional to serve as our Lead Shuttle Driver. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of our flaggers, managing daily logistics, and performing essential traffic control duties when not driving. This demanding position requires absolute punctuality and physical readiness for all weather conditions.
Schedule: This role requires long hours, starting very early in the morning. You must be flexible and ready to transition between driving duties and flagging duties as needed by the field operations schedule.
Driving and Logistics (Lead Driver)
Safely operate passenger vans or similar vehicles to transport traffic control flaggers to designated job sites on schedule.
Plan and optimize daily shuttle routes to maximize efficiency and ensure timely arrival at job sites.
Maintain a clean and safe operating environment for all shuttle vehicles and conduct required inspections.
Manage the behavior and conduct of all riders on the shuttle, ensuring a professional atmosphere.
Field Operations (Traffic Control Flagger)
Willingness to perform traffic control flagging duties at job sites when not actively driving the shuttle route.
Stand for long periods while directing traffic and pedestrians safely through work zones, often in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
Follow all site-specific traffic control plans and safety protocols precisely.
Clearly and professionally communicate instructions to motorists and pedestrians.
Communication and Administration
Communicate effectively and proactively with Field Operations Staff regarding flagger attendance, route changes, vehicle status, and site-specific needs.
Track and record daily attendance, routes, and work hours (both driving and flagging) using digital spreadsheets.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a professional driver and a clean driving record.
Current, valid Traffic Control Flagger Certification (or the ability to obtain it immediately upon hire).
Absolute reliability and willingness to work long hours, starting very early in the morning.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods outdoors in various and sometimes harsh weather conditions.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for logistics and administrative tasks.
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills to manage both riders and traffic.
Proficiency with basic technology, including GPS and spreadsheet data entry.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Regular exposure to outdoor elements, including varying temperatures, humidity, and weather conditions.
What We Offer:
Hourly Pay Range: $22.50-$24.00 per hour (Based on experience, certifications, and skills)
