Job Summary: The Transport Driver is responsible for operating automotive equipment to tow and transport vehicles. This role supports operations by relocating vehicles to be brought to or from the lot or auction block. Accountabilities & Responsibilities: Drive, operate, and maintain transportation trucks. Rig vehicles to be transported using approved procedures. Observe instruments while operating the vehicle. Make necessary routine repair as necessary. Transport vehicles to and from the lot. Record and log trips. Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages. Clean and maintain work area and associated tools and machinery. Perform additional duties as assigned. Experience & Education: High School Diploma or GED required 1+ years of experience operating medium-heavy automotive machinery, including wrecker or tow trucks. Knowledge & Skills: Valid Class Driver's License with proper endorsements. Valid driver's license and safe driving record required. Commitment to providing excellent customer service. Proven communication and interaction skills. Demonstrated skill with minor automotive repair or maintenance Proven ability to operate trucks or machinery. Ability to work both inside automotive machinery and outside in varying conditions as required. Able to operate and manipulate equipment or machinery as necessary to perform the role. Must be able to position self to rig vehicles, which may include stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, standing, and sitting.
