JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Safely load, transport, and unload products at designated customer locations. Operate a commercial vehicle along established routes to deliver, stock, and stage products. Set up promotional displays and deliver marketing materials as needed. Verify shipment accuracy and ensure product is in saleable condition upon delivery. Address and resolve customer concerns or discrepancies in a professional manner. Collect empty containers, returns, and unsold merchandise for processing. Complete daily inventory, delivery invoices, and proof of delivery documentation. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Assist with basic truck maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle activity as required by DOT. Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a customer-first attitude at all times. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED required. Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Air Brake endorsement. Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with FMCSA Part 391.41. Minimum 1 year of Class A commercial driving experience required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Manual transmission experience required (no automatic restrictions). Prior experience in food/beverage delivery and customer service preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and basic math skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, reaching, climbing, pulling, and bending. Ability to routinely lift over 60 pounds and push/pull up to 300 pounds using a hand-held hook. Must be physically capable of performing all job duties safely and efficiently. The Galt House is currently hiring for the position of a part- time shuttle bus driver for an overnight shift of 11 PM- 7 AM, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The shuttle bus driver will be responsible for safely transporting guests between the hotel and the Louisville International Airport. Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate the hotel shuttle van to transport guests to and from the airport and assist with loading and unloading guest's luggage and other belongings as needed. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, assisting with luggage, and ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride. Maintain a clean and well-maintained shuttle van, including washing, cleaning, fueling, regular inspections and adherence to maintenance schedules. Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while operating the shuttle van, ensuring the safety of passengers and other road users. Coordinate with the Front Office Managers or Director of Rooms to schedule shuttle runs based on hotel needs. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing the hotel in a positive manner. Keep accurate records of shuttle runs, including passenger counts, destinations, and any notable incidents or feedback. Complete and submit daily vehicle inspection and guest count checklists. Handle guest inquiries and provide information about local attractions, restaurants, and amenities. Adhere to the hotel's policies and procedures, including confidentiality and security protocols. Attends and participates in monthly front desk and driver meetings. Inspects van to ensure that it is in order and that supplies are adequate. Reports damage, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor. Offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and entertainment attractions. Answers questions related to airport facilities. Pages guests in lobby, delivers messages and runs errands, returns errant bell carts in parking lot and from guest floors. Maintains lobby in a clean and tidy manner; this includes, but is not limited to ashtrays, trash, seating areas, front doors, floors, etc. Maintains the front port-cochere by picking up trash, cleaning oil leaks, shoveling snow, melting ice, hosing off sidewalks etc. Adheres to all local and state laws and brand and owner guidelines pertaining to driver certification and safe transport of guests. Reports any major delays or problems arising during the course of transporting clients to the designated manager. Identifies and communicates environmental problems at the clients' home to center management. Assists with or participates in center activities or community outings as needed. Participates in orientation and trainings as assigned. Attends mandatory monthly transportation and staff meetings. Immediately reports all driving violations to the Executive Director, whether they occur on or off the job. Demonstrates proper use of transfer techniques. Reports accidents and incidents per policy.
