The Transport Driver operates motor vehicles on and off the premises for transport, pickup and delivery in support of auction activities. Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area to support the flow of vehicles for the car auction. Hourly Rate: $15.00 1 FT Monday through Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am - 12:00pm 3 PT Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm **Clean Background & Valid Drivers License w/ Clean Driving Record Required** Drive vehicles to and from designated areas, as well as pick up and deliver vehicles while observing auction driving rules, rules of the road and demonstrating courteous and defensive driving principles. Assist customers such as dealers, account reps, and co-workers as needed. Perform walk-around each vehicle prior to moving vehicle and note damage. Provide medical transportation for older adults and disabled adults living in Tooele County. Transportation will include trips to Salt Lake City and areas in Tooele County. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under the direct supervision of the Tooele County Mobility Manager. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Perform vehicle maintenance such as checking oil, gas, tires, batteries, all fluid levels, and clean the windshield to ensure vehicle safety. Drive passengers to and from medical appointments in the Tooele County and Salt Lake City areas. Assist all passengers in and out of the transportation vehicle. Assist with all transportation programs. May perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: High school graduate or GED equivalent AND Three (3) years of general responsible work experience Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of road safety and driving practices. Knowledge of the geographical areas including Grantsville, Tooele, and Salt Lake City. Ability to work independently, adjust to changing procedures and schedule work efficiently. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Have a positive attitude towards Senior Citizens and Tooele County and get along well with the General Public. Must possess a valid Utah driver's license with no DUI's/ARR's in the past five (5) years and no more than two (2) moving violations within the past 24 months. Must be able to keep client confidentiality. Must successfully pass a background check and a pre-hiring drug screening and continuous random drug screening. The ideal candidate will ensure timely, safe, and accurate deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service and strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities: Load, transport, and deliver lubricants and related products to commercial and industrial customers. Operate and maintain delivery truck in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Follow proper loading and unloading procedures. Accurately complete delivery tickets, logs, and required paperwork. Communicate with dispatch to report delivery status, issues, or delays. Uphold all safety standards, including wearing PPE and responding to spills or emergencies appropriately. Maintain cleanliness and appearance of assigned vehicle. Provide excellent customer service during each delivery.
