Purpose: Responsible for performing the functions related to storage, distribution and shipment of inventory and products. Stores, handles and dispatches inventory materials, process materials and miscellaneous materials according to established priorities. collects, documents and maintains data records associated with inventory management. Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives.
You will be responsible for:
* Receives, stores and dispatches "raw material" and "non-inventory items" raw materials daily, following applicable Good Manufacturing Practices, ensuring the integrity of the products, preventing mixes and facilitating the handling of said materials (raw materials, supplies of process and office effects) through the plants.
* Segregates, palletizes and physically prepares the shipments by air / boat for the different regions of the products. Loading and unloading vehicles arriving or leaving the facilities of J & J Vision.
* Executes daily scanning and inventory transactions in the system, staying in sync with established procedures (Kanban Process and inventory material transactions) (SHIPPING).
* Relocates materials daily according to their status ("release" or quarantine), aligning with established procedures and Good Warehouse Practices. Assists in the process of receipt of raw material. Implements the movements of "release" material. Collects and takes products to be sterilized (DA).
* Attends the weekly area cycle count program, assumes responsibility for the results obtained, provides an explanation for said results and suggests corrective and preventive actions. (CYCLE COUNT).
* Prepares all the documentation for air and commercial invoices, for national and international shipments, completing all the required information, through electronic material movement systems (SAP).
* Files receipts of suppliers and shipping documents of all regions, following the procedure for retention of documents.
* Complies with all GMP regulatory, safety, and all environmental and hazardous materials management regulations.
* Communicates to supervisor any material events that may affect the continuity and manufacturing process.
Qualifications / Requirements:
* High school diploma and four (4) years of experience in a similar position, in the warehouse area in the regulated industry, is required.
* Fully bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred.
* Basic knowledge in Mathematics, Computers, inventory systems, preferable SAP and office system is required.
* License in Forklift, Pallet Jack is preferred.
* Driver license for heavy vehicles, Category 8 or above is required.
* GMP knowledge, ISO 140001, Cycle Count, FDA, OSHA is preferred.
* Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, including weekends and holidays is required.

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:
High school diploma or equivalent
Forklift certification preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Familiarity with warehousing practices and methods required
Understands and utilizes safe lifting procedures and proper step stools
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum one year of related experience and/or training preferred
SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
Open availability to work a schedule that may require work on weekends, holidays, overtime, or schedule changes with short notice
Must have excellent attention to detail, this includes continuously monitoring shipments from the point of receipt to delivery
Self-starter attitude, capable of working independently with minimal supervision

Be able to work in a team environment effectively
Ability to lift and/or move heavy items and assist others when lifting is required
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
Job duties include but are not limited to lifting, pulling, pushing, grasping, twisting (including wrists), reaching below and overhead, standing for long periods, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling,
climbing, and lifting heavy items. Warehouse climate conditions are subject to change without notice.
Mental, visual, and auditory acuity necessary to work with or near moving mechanical parts (i.e., cooler, dock equipment), in high, precarious places (i.e., ladder work) and cold/hot climate conditions.
