Full-time Description The INSTALLERS work under the Facilities Project Manager and when working in the warehouse you will report to the Warehouse Manager. This position travels to our warehouses across the Mid-West, South Central, and New England states. Our team of installers assist with setting up new warehouses, changing existing racking, moving product and racking installation and teardowns. Responsible for unloading and/or loading trucks, as well as picking/pulling and/or putting away tires/products. Being able to fill in when needed to drive a truck for delivery routes. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assemble and install racking according to the warehouse layout. Disassemble old racking; sort, bind and store by dimensions. Move and make changes to existing racking. Measure, outline and paint truck and farm area according to layout. Move product to new racking, according to new layout charting. Install signs and labels in bins, dock doors, etc. Responsible for unloading semi-trailers and/or assisting the loader for semi-trailers and route trucks. Use equipment and tools provided daily accurately and safely to verify, pull/pick, and put-away tires/products. Tires/products should be in designated locations with tags out and restocked as needed. This role does not require a CDL or HazMat endorsement but does require a DOT medical card.(Company Paid) Key Responsibilities Driving & Delivery (50-75%) Deliver fire extinguishers, small packages, parts, and materials between FEI offices and branches Make deliveries to job sites supporting: Sprinkler Fire Alarm Special Hazards teams Operate company vehicles including: Pickup trucks Vans Small box truck (as needed) Heavy-duty pickup truck occasionally towing a small trailer Transport and deliver a scissor lift to and from job sites as required Assist with “cleaning out” completed projects by retrieving unused materials, pipe, fittings, and equipment Follow assigned delivery schedules while ensuring accuracy and timeliness Conduct basic vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns Maintain delivery logs, mileage tracking, and basic documentation as required Adhere to all DOT, safety, and company driving policies (All vehicles are automatic) Warehouse Operations (25-50%) Assist with daily warehouse operations under the direction of the Warehouse Manager Support receiving duties after training, including checking in deliveries and staging materials Assist with inventory organization, stocking, and cycle counts Help maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards Support shipping, staging, and preparation of materials for field teams Assist other departments as needed to support operational demands Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card (company paid) 1-3 years of warehouse, delivery, or field support experience preferred Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 lbs Comfortable driving pickup trucks, vans, and small box trucks Ability to occasionally tow a small trailer Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and follow direction Strong communication skills and customer service mindset Willingness to work both onsite and in the field Basic familiarity with construction, fire protection, or trade environments is a plus Work Environment & Schedule Onsite and field-based role Monday-Friday schedule Combination of warehouse work and regional driving throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island Benefits Competitive Pay 401(k) with Company Match Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Disability & Life Insurance Paid Vacation & Holidays DOT medical card paid for by the company Fire Equipment Inc. is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. JOB SUMMARY The Material Handler assists in moving parts and components from department to department and is responsible for keeping parts and material organized for the entire facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Moves parts and material with power equipment i.e. forklift, pallet jack, etc. * Responsible for keeping parts and materials organized for the entire facility. * Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned. * Reports machine, tooling or material shortages and concerns to department supervisor. * Transports finished materials, manually or using pallet jack to the appropriate area. * Works effectively with all department personnel and co-workers in a harmonious and cooperative manner to meet the needs and goals established by the company. * Maintains good housekeeping for entire facility. * Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor; may include department transfers to meet production needs.
