Key Responsibilities
Loading, hauling, and delivering food waste on intra- and interstate routes with multiple stops ranging from 15-25 per day by routing determined by the Company.
Delivery equipment ranges from 30-45' open-top dump trailers (combination vehicles) across a regional footprint determined by management.
Operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles by DOT requirements as well as all local, state, and federal laws.
Operate manual or electric pallet jack as needed.
Utilize a pressure washer to rinse bins and containers and leave all client locations clean and free of debris.
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
Typical use of hand tools for basic repairs of company bins and equipment.

Utilize the electronic logging system for DOT driver logs and as otherwise required.

Compliance: Stay current on and adhere to all DOT and FMCSA regulations applicable to local and regional transportation, including hours of service, weight limits, and vehicle maintenance requirements.

Qualifications:
License & Medical Card: Valid Class A commercial driver's license with a clean driving record and valid medical card.
Experience: 24 months of verifiable and proven Class A driving experience in the past 3-5 years as a truck driver, demonstrating a commitment to safety and reliability. No more than 3 moving violations and no more than 1 preventable accident in the past 3 years. It is a plus but not a requirement if you have some experience in the following: use of liftgates, OTR driver, hazmat and tanker endorsement.
Knowledge: Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations related to local transportation. As well as hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software for ELD and TMS.

If the driver's license becomes inactive (suspended or revoked) for any reason he/she must notify his/her immediate supervisor immediately. If driver fails to reinstate his/her license within 5 business days, he/she will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
