OVERVIEW: OVERVIEW: The Lead has a direct impact on both the execution of brand standards as well as the teammate experience. With the guidance of the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, the Lead is the in- store expert of their business / department. The Lead is focused on delivering the best service to our customers as well as providing direction to teammates. Supports building and hiring a strong team by observing in-store interviews and department tours. Builds a people-first culture by connecting with every teammate in the store to build mutual trust, respect, and contribute to the strong store recognition culture. Plans, organizes, controls 30-days out with the guidance of Assistant Store Manager; including building an effective approach and align on necessary workforce to execute daily assignments, game plans, projects, or store events. Strategically leverages teammates to ensure brand standards are met, programs and processes are executed daily, and tasks are delegated based on their priority level. Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor sets, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation and replenishment standards, etc. Assists the store leadership team with general supervision in the store in accordance with Company policies and procedures, where applicable. Assists with training teammates on company procedures and programs; this includes onboarding new teammates and cross-training current teammates. Prioritizes coaching and developing oneself and others; provides hands-on coaching and teaches the “why” behind tasks, plans, and processes (e.g., NSPP, Scorecards, LP, etc.). Leads by example to support the vision of the organization and store by helping teammates understand how their responsibilities directly align to the common purpose, organizational goals, and delivering a hassle-free shopping experience. Creates an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates & customers) feels welcome and safe and is treated with respect. Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information. The Sales Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Store Management staff in maximizing sales, providing an exceptional shopping experience for the customer and managing the store in accordance with the company visual and operational standards. The Sales Supervisor assumes responsibility for the operations of a store as “Manager-on-Duty” in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager. Responsibilities: SALES LEADERSHIP: Assumes Manager's role in supervising staff in absence of Store Manager and Assistant Manager Strives for sales excellence and results Ensures selling standards are met Works with customers and models excellent customer service and clienteling skills Maximizes sales through strong floor supervision ASSOCIATE DEVELOPMENT: Ensure associates are trained on product knowledge, selling skills and customer service and operations Provides information and feedback for Sales Associates Team sells with Sales Associates to contribute to the development of the selling team OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE: Controls company's assets, i.e. key control, loss prevention measures, inventory paperwork and company standards of conduct per the employee handbook Strives for 100% accuracy and compliance in cash, inventory, fixtures and property STORE STANDARDS: Helps execute floor-set and promotional directives Works as a member of the team to insure all store standards are met Understands, supports and complies with all company policies and procedures MERCHANDISING/VISUAL: Ensure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized and reflects the correct visual image at all times Ensure presentation of all displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction FASHION/STYLING: Represents the fashion and style of Veronica Beard Knowledge of current fashion trends and styles Appreciation and demonstration of an overall finished fashion look Comfortable with being on camera for social media purposes (both stills and video) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to operate computer/cash register Standing, walking, bending, squatting, twisting and climbing ladders 6-12 feet Simple grasping, pushing, lifting and or carrying things with right/left-hand which weigh 3-15 pounds WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to create a quality working environment that will encourage others to develop and excel Foster a work climate that inspires mutual trust, respect, professionalism and teamwork to achieve goals Requirements: Minimum of 2 years retail Store Management position/ experience in women's apparel (or related field) Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends Strong verbal and communication skills Strong observation skills - identifying and assessing customer and employee behavior, reactions, and floor awareness Ability to retain and utilize data, i.e. names, merchandise, information, policies and procedures At Veronica Beard, we are committed to creating and maintaining a workplace where every single employee can thrive and feel valued.
