    Athol Community Elementary School (ACES) is seeking an experienced educator to teach social and emotional learning skills and concepts to classrooms, grades K-4. This position requires experience and knowledge of various elementary social and emotional learning strategies, including but not limited to foundational skills as defined by CASEL, Zones of Regulation, Character Strong, and anti-bullying strategies. The schedule will require this teacher to rotate through each of our classrooms once per week, teaching grade appropriate units of instruction using district curricula and research-based best practices. This is a grant-funded position but it is anticipated to extend at a minimum through the 2026-2027 school year. In addition to foundational social and emotional learning curricula and skills, the successful candidate will work toward building positive relationships with students, collaborate with colleagues, and actively participate in the district's initiatives and professional development each year. This position is teaching SEL only and will not involve a counseling caseload.
