Job Summary * Support continuous improvement projects utilizing lean and six sigma tools. * Support cross functional teams to support RCCA activities on CARs and DMRs. * Support the design of manufacturing processes, work instructions and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, and material handling. * Support the design, test and validation of tooling and fixtures. * Support production operations and personnel on technical issues. * Support NPI teams with development of manufacturing processes and procedures for new products. * Create and update routing information (cycle times, notes, etc.). * Train production personnel on the proper use and execution of tools, processes, and procedures. * Conduct process audits and time studies. * Communicate with vendors, and suppliers on projects on technical issues as required. * Other assignments as required. Required Skills and Qualifications * Working knowledge of acrylic machining, painting processes, and assembly tooling. * Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret blueprints, manufacturing plans, specifications and purchase orders, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. * Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. * Ability to contribute/participate on cross-functional, problem-solving teams. * Computer skills: Microsoft Office; Excel and Word. Working knowledge of an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) System desired but not mandatory. Ability to work independently, with a higher level of judgment making skills.
