The DCS Engineer will work at the site, within the stations technical team and provide direct support to plant operations and maintenance, primarily in the form of troubleshooting, problem solving, and technical recommendations for assigned plant systems and equipment. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in capital improvement and maintenance projects as required. Responsibilities Responsible for review and definition of the operation and maintenance requirements of assigned systems to ensure a high level of reliability and availability. Monitors operation and performance of systems through trends and information provided through support organizations. Performs station equipment inspections, identifying near and long-term reliability and efficiency concerns with follow-up engineering/technical recommendations targeting risk minimization. Actively engaged in preparing both short- and long-term budget proposals, with a focus on prioritizing station risks and ensuring reliability throughout the project initiation, development, and justification phases. Initiates, develops, and implements station managed projects related to assigned systems. Collaborates with company subject matter experts, station operations, and maintenance personnel for equipment of responsibility. Provides subject matter technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems in area of expertise. Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches related to well-defined problems and analysis of moderate scope and complexity. Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities. Strives to continually improve job-related, technical, and professional knowledge, skills, and performance. Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities across various groups. Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
