Occupational Summary
The socialworker will support the North Carolina - Psychiatry Access Line (NC-PAL) through behavioral health consultation and education activities, coordination, outreach, and program development. The NC-PAL socialworker will interface directly with clinicians and/or support services staff within Duke Health and in the community, with the goals of: empowering clinicians to manage behavioral health in their practices, addressing systemic barriers to mental health, and supporting patient ability to navigate behavioral health resources. Individuals in this role may also participate in direct patient care (ex. psychosocial assessments, diagnosis, and treatment).
Duties will vary based on area of expertise, but will be based upon the following position outline:

The annual base salary range for this position is $58,656.00 to $82,000.00 USD.

Key Position Duties
Direct Services - 60%
* Provide triage, crisis care, and clinical consultation to all Duke students, presenting with acute distress. Assess, deescalate, support, and make appropriate treatment referrals.
* Conduct initial intakes, determine and recommend treatment plan, and provide ongoing therapy services. Provide single session therapy, as requested.
* Initiate and facilitate group therapy services that may include process, support, or skill-based spaces.
* Develop and facilitate outreach and workshops on various mental health and wellness topics, placing priority on expanding service access for all students.
* Participate in campus-wide prevention efforts
* Organize, coordinate, and provide supervision and didactic seminars to master's level interns.
Administrative and Professional Duties - 35%
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state laws, ethical guidelines, and per CAPS policies and procedures.
* Utilize Electronic Medical Record System to maintain client records in accordance with HIPPA and FERPA regulations.

As a Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist on our team, you will utilize your specialized clinical knowledge and advanced skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to care for patients of all ages, backgrounds, and needs, including providing therapy sessions virtually for behavioral health patients. Your work will directly impact their lives as you work to help them improve their overall well-being.
This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working remotely between 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, diagnostic interviews, assessments and treatment plans to patients.
Provide individual, group, family and crisis counseling.
Utilize a clinical focus across the mental health spectrum, from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
Run group therapy three hours M-T 9-12 (in person group) with co-therapist.
Participate in the development and implementation of assessments based on interdisciplinary treatment plans.
Consult with team members, statutory/voluntary agencies and relatives to ensure compliance with the patient treatment plan.
Act as a liaison between patients, families, community support workers and facilities to obtain information and facilitate discharge planning.
Educate and provide resources to patients and families.
Supervise and/or train lower-level socialworkers, students or interns.
Process paperwork and complete clinical documentation.
Attend treatment groups.
Follow federal regulations and administrative tasks.
Develop individualized master treatment plans.
Follow up on referrals from outpatient providers.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or a related field
Licensed Independent SocialWorker (LISW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed SocialWorker (LSW) with no record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports
Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting
Ability to concisely document clinical findings and patient needs in an electronic medical record while navigating a multi-specialized behavioral health environment and the ability to communicate across different electronic platforms and across a broad geographic provide base
No record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports

Clinical Psychologist - Outpatient

UNC Health Rex Cancer Center is seeking a full-time psychologist to provide psychotherapy to adult patients in our quality-of-life department. Our support services department includes psychiatry, palliative care, rehabilitation program, and chaplain services. Our patients currently have access to a free 12-week exercise program, yoga, support groups, and a program for children who are affected by parents with cancer. It is preferred that the candidate has experience working with patients who have a serious medical illness. The visits will be a combination of telehealth and in-person visits. The position is located at the main cancer center in Raleigh and supports patients within our community oncology program.

Responsibilities:
1. Collaboration - Act as a team member with the medical staff, nursing, and other ancillary support services. Supervision of pre-doctoral interns, practicum students, and post-doctoral fellows. Participation in multidisciplinary selection conferences, support groups, and other departmental activities/meetings.
2. Continuous Quality Improvement - Participate in quality assurance, utilization review, and performance improvement programs.
3. Education - Provide professional guidance and input during the development of new policies, formulation of new protocols, procedures, and programs. Provide professional consultation and participation in all aspects of accreditation, licensure and certification requirements.
4. Patient Care - Provide psychological evaluations and follow up consultation for patients and their families. Provide follow up services as needed.
