    What's the role? The Facilities Maintenance Technician on our team maintains buildings and grounds for our properties for our REMS and Secure Storage affiliates. We are seeking candidates for a part time or full time roles based in Baraboo to support our Sauk County area facilities. Duties include: Painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings; may also include roof repair. Apartment turn-over maintenance, HVAC, minor electrical and plumbing maintenance/repair and after hour's emergency maintenance. Remove and install home appliances. Providing ground maintenance activities such as parking lot maintenance, exterior building maintenance, snow removal, lawn mowing, trimming, fertilizing, aerating, landscaping, removing/spraying weeds, raking, and disposing of lawn refuse. Maintaining streets and common areas of the facility. Safely and legally drive a truck and use it for transporting material. Communicating effectively and professionally with all residents and coworkers while working in a team environment. What experience and skills do I need to be successful? A diverse and well-rounded skill base in maintenance to fulfill multiple maintenance functions throughout the organization. Experience providing maintenance to rental or storage units or related properties highly desired. Developed communication and customer service skills for interacting with our customers and internal team. Location: East Region: New Bern NC Pay Pay range: Starting pay: $19.00 We are looking looking for a part-time team member available to work a combination of 1st shift (6am-3pm) and/or 2nd shift (3pm-11pm) along with every other weekend as needed to fill openings in the schedule. Position Requirements: High school diploma or GED and One year of experience, have direct support experience with individuals with mental health and intellectual disabilities who have serious behavioral challenges and experience with crisis management OR have a Bachelor's degree in Human services field. If degree is not in Human services, must have experience with population. Valid driver's license (this is a condition of employment) including personal vehicle insurance coverage for liability. Must maintain proficiency in company sponsored training and certifications specified and or required by future company regulations. Maintain CPR and First Aid certification. Successfully complete and maintain training courses as required or amended by company policy. Responsibilities: Provides direct support for individuals (no more than 4) with disabilities and challenging behavior in a community and/or residential setting. Assists the person(s) receiving services in identifying and communicating his or her requests and needs for services and supports. Provides 24 hour emergency maintenance. Reports all emergencies. The ability to implement protocol/procedures to ensure safety measures are accomplished. Education, Licensure, and Experience required for the position include: HS diploma or G.E.D. and four years of experience in General Maintenance Responsibilities: Coordinates work orders with Home Managers and other staff supervisors to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operation of residential or center activities. Builds, repairs, and installs counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, doors, walls, building framework, and trim. Paints interior and exterior walls and trim. Installs glass in windows, doors, and partitions. Installs items such as window shades, venetian blinds, curtain rods, wall & ceiling fans and lights and door locks. Replaces damaged ceiling tile, floor tile, and wall coverings. Assures compliance to building code. Develops and coordinates with Administrator and Manager - Materials and Assets, plans for reconstruction, capital improvement or installation of new equipment, or buildings. Estimates cost of parts, and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance. Reviews manufacturer's service manuals and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years related experience and/or training preferred.
