Many of the people we serve have experienced frequent crises, hospital stays, or legal involvement. They may have a history of failed placements and need a highly structured environment to succeed. Our homes are specially designed for safety, and our approach is consistent, person-centered, and focused on helping individuals reach their goals while maintaining safety for everyone. Due to the challenging nature of this work, staff receive training in behavioral support and crisis response, including the use of manual restraints when necessary. Please note: This role may involve exposure to verbal aggression or difficult behaviors. We provide strong training and team support to help you succeed. Job Description In this exciting role you are responsible for the coordination and supervising one to two residential programs that specialize in supporting individuals with challenging behavioral and mental health needs. As a Mental Health Program Director your two key priorities include supervising and training of mental health specialists and ensuring all aspects of the program are developed, implemented, coordinated, and monitored to the highest degree possible. Work Environment and Office Hours Full-time organizational position (may be part-time within any given home). The MHPD's schedule must be flexible to accommodate various program, individuals, and staff needs. The MHPD is always on-call, unless prior arrangements have been made for someone of comparable authority to receive emergency calls. MHPD's are expected to ensure all direct service shifts in their programs are filled by staff who have met Dungarvin conditions of employment and have been adequately oriented and trained to perform their jobs. Occasionally, MHPD's will find it necessary to work direct service shifts, but such work should normally not exceed 16 hours per week. If a MHPD finds it is necessary to work more than 16 hours of direct service in any work week, he/she must notify his/her supervisor in advance, in accordance with Dungarvin Policy A-02: WAGE AND SALARY DETERMINATION. If notification cannot be made in advance the MHPD is expected to notify his/her supervisor as soon as possible. If schedule adjustment is necessary, arrangements should be made with the director. Starting Salary $65,000.00 - $66,787.50 annually *Listed salary range is based on experience level and may vary depending on an individuals skills and qualifications. The role of the Assistant Residential Manager is to oversee and manage the operations of a Residential Program to support individuals with an intellectual disability/mental health reach their goals, and valued outcomes, develop skills, and provide support as required with residential services by operating a Residential Support Program. The position is responsible for maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic home environment that fosters growth and rehabilitation and facilitates the development of independent and self-help skills of the individuals. The Assistant Residential Manager is responsible for training, planning, supervising, and coordinating the services and interaction of the staff, support staff, and managerial staff as well as ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The Assistant Residential Manager works as a support to the Residential Manager in operating the program in compliance with agency policy and state regulations, along with the supervision of the assigned workforce and their performance. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of a Residential Program, routinely in the evening however for all shifts as directed. Ensure that staff are assigned to tasks, individual levels of supervision, and activities according to the operational procedures. Effectively communicate and support the organization's mission, vision, and values. Responsible for monitoring and ensuring that daily documentation for individuals' programming is complete and accurate. Ensuring goals are met in areas including client and family satisfaction, safety, quality, and team member performance. Prepares and submits all required reports, incident reports, corrective action, statistics, and quality assurance functions to verify program services are by the agency and departmental Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance, and HIPAA policies and procedures. Complete reports and ensure proper documentation of any incident at the facility. Ensure payroll is completed for reports and oversee and monitor management to ensure all respective workforce payroll is completed. Ensure that program vehicles are maintained and monitor staff to ensure they are following driving procedures. Conduct Morning, Evening, Meal, and Medication Observation to ensure adequate supervision and that all safeguards and plans are followed Observe programming and mealtimes to ensure that individual safeguards are followed, and the individuals are safe at all times according to their protective oversight plans and other plans. Review all food requisitions and maintain inventory. Ensure all food noted on the menu is available for the individual by diet restrictions or prescribed diet according to their documented safeguards. MHPD's are expected to ensure all direct service shifts in their programs are filled by staff who have met Dungarvin conditions of employment and have been adequately oriented and trained to perform their jobs. Occasionally, MHPD's will find it necessary to work direct service shifts, but such work should normally not exceed 16 hours per week. If a MHPD finds it is necessary to work more than 16 hours of direct service in any work week, he/she must notify his/her supervisor in advance, in accordance with Dungarvin Policy A-02: WAGE AND SALARY DETERMINATION.
