Dunkin Brands company history timeline
Dunkin’ Donuts first used this version at their new Quincy, Massachusetts location in 2018, introducing it the following year.
In January 2019, the word “Donuts” was dropped from the company’s name to better represent their product range beyond coffee and donuts.
Through the joint efforts of three branding agencies Arc Worldwide, Knowles Ritchie, and Knowles Ritchie, the new brand name was unveiled in United States stores in early 2019.
On July 30, 2020 the organization announced it would permanently close 800 of its donut and coffee shops by the end of the year due to a sales slump caused by the coronavirus pandemic, primarily locations inside convenience stores, namely Speedway.
Shares of the Dunkin' Brand have reportedly risen 33% in 2020 because of the possible Inspire Brands' deal.
