As a Production Technician you will be specializing in thermoplastics and will engage in extrusion and blending technologies, ensuring precision and efficiency in the manufacturing process for optimal product quality RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do: Operating process related equipment and plant process control systems in a safe, environmentally responsible manner Optimizing plant performance by monitoring process equipment and conditions using information systems including: temperatures, pressures, and flow rates Collecting and reporting plant measurements related to performance, asset utilization, quality, costs, yield, environmental health and safety, production rates, etc. Adjusting manually operated equipment based on process and lab data. Determining root causes of deviations in process, product or equipment performance through use of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis Completing individual duties with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent Previous experience in extrusion and/or blending technology, manufacturing, the military, or a related environment is highly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word and Excel) Ability to perform basic math High attention to detail Follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation The following are preferred: Associate degree or higher Other technical or manufacturing certifications Proficiency in SAP Forklift experience in addition the following requirements must be met with or without accommodation: Willing and able to work the night shift (6pm-6am), including overtime as needed Willing and able to lift 50 lbs.
