School Bus Driver Per Diem Hours: Mornings: 7AM-9AM (Approximately); Afternoons: 2PM-7PM (Approximately) Compensation: Starting rate is $20-$30 per hour, commensurate with experience. Essential Functions: Ensure a safe and risk free environment at all times while meeting the individual needs of the students. Assist in providing safe transportation for all off-site trips. Be familiar with bus routes, schedules and general areas, keeping routes on time. Manage the overall safe performance of buses: conduct proper daily safety inspection of the vehicle including: recording gas level, mileage and maintenance on designated forms; evaluate before and after trip checks each day and record all information; clean out the bus each day. Refuel buses on a regular basis. Promote safety at all times by keeping first aid kit and emergency road kit fully stocked. Ensure proper loading, unloading and tracking of students. Ensure the use of child safety restraints required by state law. Ensure proper verification procedures for evacuation of the vehicle based on the type of vehicle and ages of the students served. Ensure the developmentally appropriate practices applicable to the behavior management of students during transportation. Ensure that bus rules are announced and followed throughout each trip. Communicate regularly with other bus drivers Qualifications: Desire and ability to work with children, must have the ability to drive a bus and be knowledgeable of the rules/guidelines involved in driving a bus, and must have the ability to respond to emergency situations and have the visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to activity. Must present a professional image and possess conflict resolution skills, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information Minimum 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent preferred At least 3 years of experience driving a vehicle Certifications Required: Current, valid NYS Bus driver license; clean driving record (e.g., no DUI, no more than three violations in a rolling three-year period, etc.), signed driver agreement form; if contacted for an interview, must bring a copy of your most recent driving abstract (within 7 days of scheduled interview) Current Department of Transportation Medical Card We are committed to making our recruitment practices barrier-free and as accessible as possible for everyone. The purpose of the First Grade Teacher is to create an educationally sound and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports students in the lower school at Dwight School. Responsibilities of the position Instruction and Assessment Demonstrates knowledge of content and a wide range of instructional pedagogies. Applies knowledge of varied approaches to learning in instruction, lesson planning, questioning, and assessment. Design complex technical solutions for critical communications throughout Upstate Medical University, especially for Nursing. Ensure voice communications and clinical workflows that impact the hospital's operations run seamlessly. Work with all end-users, staff and departments, particularly Network Security & Operations, to troubleshoot potential wired and wireless network issues that impact M&I-supported applications. Directly oversee and/or assist training and education on supported systems to over 5,500 faculty and staff. Lead and/or provide key support for the entire supply chain of supported hardware, equipment and accessories, including Vocera badges. Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in Business, Telecommunications, Information Systems or related field and 5 years, or a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience with user training and support; or equivalent combination of education and experience (7 years); plus solid written and verbal communication skills as well as a proven customer service track record required. Consideration given in lieu of formal degree with requisite experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and experience working in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
