Overview The Project Manager is responsible for the project management, leadership, profitability and client management for a design team. Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to oversee end-to-end payroll processing and reporting for our consulting engineering firm with approximately 400 employees. The role involves administering biweekly payroll through ADP Workforce Now, managing 401(k) contributions and loans, preparing unemployment wage reports, supporting leave administration, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements-including Form 5500 filing. The ideal candidate will also bring expertise in integrating payroll systems with ERP platforms and have a strong focus on streamlining processes and improving efficiency. Responsibilities Process biweekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now for approximately 400 employees across multiple states. Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, bonuses, and overtime in accordance with employment agreements and legal requirements. Ensure payroll accuracy, tax compliance, and timely processing of earnings, deductions, garnishments, and direct deposits. Ensure compliance with relevant laws (e.g., FLSA, FICA, IRS regulations). Coordinate with HR for new hires, terminations, and employee status changes Collaborate with the HR team to administer 401(k) Plan, manage data upload of contributions and loan repayments, reconciliations, ensure timely funding and accurate reporting. Reconcile and upload wage data for Workers' Compensation Prepare and coordinate the submission of Forms 5500 and other benefit-related filings in collaboration with third-party administrators. Collaborate with HR team to manage various leave types (vacation, sick, FMLA, etc.) and provide wage data and calculations for proper filings. Prepare wage reports for unemployment insurance claims, disability and leave benefits, and support audits by providing required payroll documentation. Reconcile payroll-related accounts in the general ledger and support monthly and year-end close processes. Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxes. Assist in the preparation and distribution of year-end tax forms (e.g., W-2s, ACA 1095) and related filings, Total Rewards Statements, stock and ownership documents Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT and third-party vendors to integrate payroll with the company's ERP system (e.g., Deltek Vantagepoint). Identify and implement opportunities to streamline payroll operations, enhance controls, and improve reporting accuracy, document procedures and processes. Overview The Environmental Technical Professional is responsible for providing accurate notes and descriptions of all field activities while reporting to their respective supervisor daily. The Environmental Technical Professional will also be required to provide accurate site inspection reports (SIRs), daily summary emails to their immediate supervisor, and provide accurate project documentation as per the Dynamic Earth engineering handbook. Overview The Geotechnical Intern is responsible for various field, laboratory and engineering tasks needed to support the geotechnical group throughout regions where we do business. Prepare field investigation instructions for the field team based on the project geotechnical scope. Develop design recommendations and/or identify the need for additional investigation/ testing based on field investigation results. Develop and coordinate the laboratory testing program based on the field results. Review and analyze field boring/test pit logs that identify subsurface soil composition and groundwater depths which are incorporated into a formal technical report. Perform common geotechnical analysis for shallow foundations, deep pile foundations, earthwork, slope stability, retaining walls and pavements. Prepare geotechnical engineering reports that detail the field investigation data and design recommendations that will be reviewed by project managers and supervisors. Review and analyze construction phase testing and inspection reports for compliance with project specifications and/or project recommendations for additional testing, as required. Overview The Engineering Technician is responsible for performing construction phase testing and inspections at on-going construction projects, which includes providing accurate notes and descriptions of all field activities while reporting to their respective supervisor daily. Engineering Technicians will also be required to provide accurate site inspection reports (SIRs), daily summary emails to their immediate supervisor, and provide accurate project documentation. Responsibilities Conduct site visits, testing, and inspection services at construction job sites. Conduct laboratory testing on soil samples, such as, physical index properties, permeability and moisture-density relationship. Assist geotechnical engineers to complete site investigation activities such as soil borings and/or test pit excavations, field permeability/percolation tests, and other supporting tasks as deemed necessary to maintain the geotechnical department operation. Pickup and drop-off samples to laboratories. Reviewing and referencing project documents including site-civil, structural, architectural plans, geotechnical reports, and topographic surveys. Conduct structural steel and steel reinforcement inspections.
