Part-time Description Job Summary: The Facility Assistant will support the registered nurses in the operating room setting. Duties include patient care within their scope of practice, housekeeping, stocking, and other needs as determined by the manager. Essential Job Functions: Keeping the OR areas, including the workstations and the restrooms, clean during work hours. Removing soiled linens from work areas and folding and restocking linens as necessary. Restocks and cleans individual nursing stations. Performs miscellaneous duties under the direction of the registered nurse. May deliver basic, limited patient care under the direction of the registered nurse. Cleans and straightens secondary OR areas, including tank room, equipment room, and lounge. Practices cost containment measures. Cleans and remakes gurneys in a timely manner. Cleans receivers on the phones and countertops in Pre-op and PACU. Restocks supplies in Pre-op and PACU and OR as needed.
