Engineers/Analysts in this role will work closely with a highly technical team of engineers and scientists developing advanced software capabilities for missile defense radar systems. The implementation will be in Ada and C++. The successful candidate will have applicable Ada and C++ experience and have a working knowledge of radars.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, or related STEM Discipline) and at least academic exposure to radar related technologies. Candidate must demonstrate familiarity with Ada.
Preferred candidate will have direct experience developing software for the AN/TPY-2 radar.

* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical data to perform complex structural work.
* Use appropriate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete assigned tasks.
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality assurance, and maintenance documentation standards.
* Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and other maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft are airworthy and mission-ready.
Basic Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or military aviation training preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of structural mechanic experience on rotary-wing aircraft (military or civilian).

THE WORK

As a Quality Technician for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Precision Structures & Optics (PSO), you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards before they are delivered to our customers. This position requires a strong understanding of quality control processes and the ability to work with precision measurement tools. The Quality Technician performs overall quality inspection for machined parts to ensure they meet the company's quality standards for the manufacture of Beryllium products for use in the most demanding applications, across the aerospace, defense, and nuclear industries. Our products are used in high performance sensing systems for targeting and acquisition, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions, and are hardened for the battlefield environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform final inspections on machined aerospace components to ensure they meet all customer and industry specifications
Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify product dimensions and tolerances
Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
Document and report inspection results, including any non-conformances, ad collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve issues
Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records for traceability and compliance purposes
Ensure compliance with company quality standards, AS9100, and other relevant industry regulations
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and inspection processes
Conduct audits of production processes and finished products to ensure ongoing adherence to quality standards
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency in using precision measurement tools and equipment
Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and engineering drawings
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

This position involves hand soldering of surface mount and through-hole components on high density printed circuit boards (PCBs). Applicants must have strong surface mount soldering skills. A surface mount soldering test will be given as part of the interview process.
Qualifications
Candidate must have achieved J-STD-001 soldering certification within the last 5 years, and must have experience soldering under a microscope. Ability to solder leaded surface mount components with 0.4 mm pitch spacing, and 0201 discrete packages. Applicants must be able to perform with high throughput and with minimal errors.
Experience assembling electromechanical assemblies and cable harnesses, and reading the associated documents (assembly drawings, electrical schematics, etc.) is a plus.
