SUMMARY: Under general direction of the Purchasing Administrator performs procurement functions including developing bid specifications, reviewing proposals, making recommendations for award of contracts, administering contracts and approving purchase orders. Relied upon to make independent decisions with regard to purchasing and contract administration under strict compliance with the Arizona Procurement Code.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors compliance with established purchasing rules, regulations, procedures,
Governing Board policy and Arizona Procurement Code.
Develops complex solicitations, including Invitation for Bid and Requests for
Proposals, which will be comprised of specifications, scopes of work, terms and
conditions, and addendums that accurately present and describe District needs.
Prepares and evaluates quotation documents, including Request for Quotations and
specifications.
Screens and processes incoming requisitions for necessary purchasing requirements.
Works with end-users to develops clear and concise specifications.
Debriefs vendors on evaluation process and award of contracts.
Provides training to end-users on various purchasing processes and procedures.
Leads pre-solicitation conferences with vendors to ensure understanding of
requirements and debrief meetings after evaluation and award.
Researches supplier base and current industry standards to stay informed on latest
products and trends in school supply industry.
Prepares, for the Purchasing Administrator, periodic reports relating to school district
purchasing activities.
Establishes and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community
members and vendors.
Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing, Business or other closely related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
One (1) or more years of experience in government procurement.
Knowledge of the Arizona Procurement Code or Arizona School District Procurement Rules and Regulations; the Uniform System of Financial Records; Contract and Business Law; Product performance and availability; and evaluation procedures, negotiation techniques, and contract award procedures.
Professional certification as a Certified Public Purchasing Buyer (CPPB) or Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) is highly desirable.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
Valid Level I Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC).
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Demonstrated competency in computer literacy, Word and Excel.
Previous knowledge and use of Visions is highly desirable.

SUMMARY: Ride Special Education buses and monitor students' behavior on the bus in order to assure adherence to safety rules while students are being transported.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist bus driver in securing wheelchairs, student restraints, and other safety equipment on the bus.
Interact with and supervise students on the bus.

CLASSIFICATION SUMMARY:
This class is the four class in a five-level Transportation Support Series devoted to supporting the safe and efficient operation of the Dysart Unified School District's transportation system.
Incumbent oversees the day to day inspection, maintenance, and repair of buses and fleet vehicles, supervise and assign work to mechanics according to established standards, ensure safe work practices are followed, assist mechanics in trouble shooting; provide information to supervisor and others; install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all technology equipment; oversee and maintain system used in issuance of automated fueling and security cards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Collaborates with Fleet Maintenance Manager in regards to priorities for scheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs of buses and other District vehicles.
• Communicates with Fleet Maintenance Manager concerning the status of and interruptions to the completion of work assigned to mechanics.
• Assigns work to mechanics, monitors quality, and supervises performance to assure compliance with applicable Federal and State safety regulations.
• Monitors fleet maintenance staffs' and visitors' compliance with safety practices and informs Fleet Maintenance Supervisor of corrective action taken.
• Oversees inspection, maintenance, performs repair, and installation-removal of specialized equipment, such as bus-vehicle surveillance systems, Zonar GPS units and related equipment; and informs Fleet Maintenance Manager of irregularities and problems.
• Responds to service calls to repair or arrange for towing buses or other District vehicles.
• Assists mechanics with diagnosing and troubleshooting various automotive, mechanical, and related problems.
• Assists in assessing breakdowns, accidents, and emergency situations; takes corrective action; and road-tests buses and other District vehicles as necessary.
• Assists in evaluating vehicle inspection reports and input of vehicle repairs performed on work order into vehicle maintenance software programs as necessary.
• Assists in maintenance of accurate records of fleet repairs, repair costs, parts procurement, vehicle warranties, and etc., to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Oversees software system used to issue HID Proxy Card, Zonar card, and related devices integrated with automated fuel dispensing, building access, and related records.
• Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.
• Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED and five years of related experience as a journey-level mechanic performing a full range of fleet repairs on heavy duty and/or commercial vehicles. Experience in a lead or supervisory position is desirable.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
• Valid Arizona Commercial Driver License, Class B with P endorsement, without restrictions, or must be obtained within 90 days of employment, and satisfactory driving record.

As an assistant to the high school Band Director, the Percussion instructor coordinates the preparations, exercises, and activities of the school marching band's percussion and front ensemble unit, in addition to the planning and directing of any winter programs. The instructor prepares and directs the unit for independent performance and competition, as well as for performances integrated within the larger marching band.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Attend all rehearsals, band camps, and performances, actively participating in assisting students in sectional and whole group rehearsals.
Instruct basic to advanced percussion rudiments and fundamentals.
Organize and lead rehearsals and sectionals.
Develop and implement the visual design of the program.
Instruct the percussion technique for battery, mallet and electronic instruments.
Show design collaboration with drill writers and unit staff.

SUMMARY: Evaluate and participate in the development of programs that will assist students with Hearing Impairments access their educational programs. Communicate effectively with parents and staff in regard to interpretation and or implementation of students' Individual Education Plans or Evaluations as required by state and federal regulation and district policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitors pure tone threshold of hearing impaired students in special education programs and provides information to classroom teachers regarding the use of functioning amplification.
Monitors the hearing aids and ear molds of hearing impaired students both electroacoustically and by means of listening and speech checks.
Recommends hearing assistive technology, as appropriate, to promote student success in all environments.
Participates in the Multi-Disciplinary Teams, IEP meetings and parent conferences as needed or appropriate.
Participates in the development of IEP's for students as needed and appropriate.
Consults with parents, staff and outside agencies as appropriate or necessary.
Works cooperatively with classroom teachers, resource specialists, nurses and other allied personnel.
Executes and prepares such forms, records, and reports as may be called for in the audiologic management of the hearing impaired students and other students for whom services are required.
Works cooperatively with principals and other district administrators and supervisors in planning and implementing the educational programs of the schools.
Exercises supervision and care over all equipment, furniture, books and supplies entrusted to his/her care and instructs students in the proper use and preservation of school properties as well as maintains audiologic equipment.
Establish and maintain good rapport with students, employees, community members and vendors.
Maintains a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Other job related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Doctoral Degree in Audiology (AuD)
Valid State of Arizona Audiology Certification.
Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)
EXPERIENCE:
One or more years of experience preferred.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
Reading and interpreting general documents such as employee handbooks and safety/training manuals.
Writing general correspondence and speak effectively with others.
Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Basic principles and applications of critical thinking and analysis.
Best practices, trends and emerging technologies.
Uses and properties of supplies and equipment.
Specialized equipment relevant to area of assignment.
SKILL IN:
Competency in computer applications such as Word, Goodgle Workspace, Excel, Outlook, and typing.
Applying reason to research and solving moderately complex issues with little or no assistance.
Interpreting an assortment of instructions furnished in variable forms.
Maintaining and updating documentation.
Organizing and maintaining records, files and program information.
Gathering data, analyzing findings and applying logic and reason.
Authoring and preparing original reports, documents and presentations.
Researching industry trends, solutions and best practices.
Maintaining confidentiality.
Utilizing communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisors, the general public and others to sufficiently exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Establishes/maintains effective relationships with teachers, administrators, students and parents.
* Demonstrates organizational characteristics in work and manner.
* Consults with teachers regarding student interventions.
* Screens, observes and/or gathers data on students who have been referred.
* Assesses difficulties of referred students through appropriate testing and diagnostic practices.
* Administers tests and recommends placement for children eligible for special education.
* Maintains confidential files and accurate records on all identified students.
* Serves as a consultant to regular classroom teachers to suggest curriculum modifications and strategies.
* Assists staff in identifying and evaluating exceptional learners.
* Informs administrators, parents and teachers of services available to them.
* Provides individual/group counseling services to students.
* Consults with staff on special education needs of students eligible under IDEA.
* Maintains compliance with federal/state statutes and district policies/procedures.
* Prepares and submits required reports on disabled children, to summarize findings, interpret data and offer recommendations, in a timely manner.
* Assists teachers and others in interpreting and using assessment data and program planning for identified students.
* Functions as team facilitator for special education referrals and evaluation process at each assigned school and program.
* Keeps abreast of new developments in the field.
* Maintains weekly communication with internship supervisor.
