Position: Guided Missile Subject Matter Expert (GMSME) Location: Irvine, CA Position Description: We're looking for a Guided Missile Subject Matter Expert (SME) to bring deep technical insight and practical experience to the development of a new class of high-performance flight systems. The ideal candidate has lived through multiple guided missiles programs and understands the engineering decisions that drive performance and reliability. You will work across airframe, propulsion, guidance & control, warhead, seeker, and avionics domain-- helping the team evaluate design options, anticipate integration and test implications, and apply missile-proven principles where they matter most. The role emphasizes technical influence through experience, constructive critique, and practical guidance in a fast-moving development environment. You will be working closely with multiple technology suppliers, as well as internal engineering team, to inform / advise technical tradeoffs as they relate to performance and CONOPs. Required Skills/Qualifications: 10+ years in guided missile or comparable high-speed flight vehicle development, with involvement through design, integration and flight test. Strong technical grounding in guidance, navigation and control (GNC), aerodynamics, propulsion integration, structural behavior, and system-level tradeoffs. Demonstrated ability to evaluate and compare technical approaches using first principles, modeling results, and constraints. Comfortable reviewing and advising on work across subsystems and understanding their system-level interactions. Experienced in interpreting simulation, closed-loop analysis, Monte Carlo studies, and flight test data. Able to shape technical direction through credibility and clear reasoning; effective mentor to engineers across disciplines. Open to unconventional design and development approaches while grounded in missile engineering fundamentals. Skilled at translating complex technical issues into actionable guidance for mixed-discipline audiences. Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Experience with non-traditional propulsion, manufacturing methods or alternative integration approaches. Position: Senior Explosive Operations Engineer Location: Irvine, CA Position Description: As a Senior Explosive Operations Engineer, you will lead the design and integration activities for a rapid development, missile program. This role will report to the Program Chief Engineer and interface closely with mechanical, electrical, software, and test teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of mission-critical capabilities. In this role you'll translate program and customer requirements into engineered solutions. You will influence design, testing, hazard analysis, and field support for fielded systems. The Senior Project Manager for UAS Manufacturing provides leadership on assigned new product introduction (NPI) efforts and acts to achieve schedule, manufacturing readiness, production ramp, and cross-functional alignment objectives. Position: Electrical Systems Architect, Unmanned Aircraft Location: Irvine, CA Responsibilities * 10+ years professional experience as an aircraft system architect * Leads the development of top-level electrical system architecture for UAS platforms, from concept to integration * Serve as technical lead and design authority for electrical subsystems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements * Conduct trade studies to evaluate component options and system-level impacts; make data-driven architecture decisions * Define and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and specify subsystem requirements to ensure seamless compatibility and performance * Collaborate closely with mechanical, software, and systems teams to ensure electrical system integrity across the entire product lifecycle * Guide efforts in electrical integration, testing, and validation of UAS systems * Mentor junior electrical engineers and foster a culture of technical rigor and innovation within the engineering team. * Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies, documentation practices, and system-level engineering processes Required Skills / Qualifications * Demonstrated capability in high-level architecture development for UAS or airborne platforms * Advanced expertise in electrical engineering, including circuit design, power electronics, embedded systems, and signal integrity * Proven experience in developing and maintaining ICDs and defining electrical subsystem requirements * Strong background in trade study execution and component evaluation for system optimization * Experience supporting troubleshooting and root cause investigations in complex systems * Significant background in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Airborne ISR, or low-cost expendable aircraft design * Background in regulated industries such as Aerospace, Defense, or Government contracting Preferred Skills / Qualifications * Experience in production/factory environments, including DFM/DFA and documentation for manufacturing. * Strong collaboration and communication skills across multidisciplinary engineering teams. * Experience developing embedded software. * Experience in DoD or defense program environments (SBIR/STTR, classified programs, etc.) * Familiarity with system safety, EMI/EMC compliance, and environmental qualification testing. * Previous leadership or principal-level roles in cross-functional system architecture efforts.
