Overview
The E-Business Specialist will provide a coordinated and consistent approach in deploying and driving adoption and commercialization of digital products and services coming from the Marketing & Digital (M&D Division) of Caterpillar to Altorfer customers. In addition to this effort, this individual is responsible for the development and execution of Altorfer's Vision Link training business. Works closely with MPC's, CMA's, PSSR's and MSR's to provide solutions that will enhance client satisfaction by supporting our Vision Link technology initiatives as part of our EMServices offerings. The E-Business Specialist is also responsible for the development and facilitation of internal and external training for Vision Link. Effectively assess the need for training through research and metric analysis and provides recommendations as appropriate to the Department Manager.
Basic Duties
+ Own the day-to-day activities of the e-business and industrial applications platform and all online sales efforts.
+ Sells company products or services on the Internet and over the phone to new or existing retail and small core customers.
+ Contacts and interacts with potential, new, and existing customers or clients on-line and over the phone to present information and explain available products or services offered, utilizing persuasive sales techniques.
+ Miitary encouraged to apply
+ Answers all questions concerning products or services, with appropriate referrals where required.
+ Establishes professional customer relationships with appropriate customer personnel.
+ Stays up-to-date on new services and changes that might affect services offered as well as company contract procedures and prices.
+ Responsible for backend registration, maintenance, customer training and promotion of Parts.Cat.com, My.Cat.com, and Dealer Maintenance Tool (DMT).
+ Cat Integrated Preocurement (backend connection, maintenance, customer training, promotion)
+ Handles all subscription, nenewal and customer training of ET, SIS, Unified Suite, Cat Inspect.
+ Altorfer Equipment Data, Cat Equipment Data (subscription, renewal, customer training)
+ PCS Claim Administration - Manual & Auto Claims / Reconcile

Qualifications
+ A two year undergraduate degree ORequivalent work experience.

+ Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, and able to write simple correspondence.

+ Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel Access, etc)

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
This position will primarily works in an office environment, there may be times when you are required to go out into the service and warehouse area and will need to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields). May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Must be able to walk, bend, lift up to 20lbs. Candidate must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
